BOSCH High Tension Single Cylinder Magneto. German Robert Bosch single cylinder high tension magneto to fire a spark plug. Bench tested – HOT. Points cover is good – photos of points included in listing for your review. Mounts with 4 holes 1 5/8″ x 2 1/4″. One side of the lead out is busted. Manual pages are for informational purposes only and not included with the mag. Please feel free to call me with questions. If you don’t see a part you need listed, good chance I just haven’t gotten around to it yet, so just check with me. This is a rare single fly ball governor for a hit and miss steam engine. It is made of cast iron and all parts move smoothly. Would need a cleaning and lubrication. There is a vague patent date on the brass ring around the ball. It appears to read Pat. Can’t find a makers mark. It does have the original belt pully wheel. This is 23 inches long and 21 inches tall. It has brass valves.

Nice old vintage magneto. I do not know exactly what this magneto fits. This magneto does turn over and with the very poor looking and crusty plug wire this mag does still manages to produce a very little spark, the spark is definitely inconsistent and is poor however. This magneto will need completely gone through and rebuilt I imagine for the absolute best potential! Please see all pictures for the absolute best description!

Oiler does pump oil and seems to ratchet like it should. The reservoir is missing the sight glass!! The very top sight glass is chipped, I don’t think the chip is all the way through though. Inside is clean appearing considering it’s age. Please see all pictures for the absolute best description. I believe with some minor work this unit would be ready to be put to work. Keep in mind this item is used and shows some wear and usage.
