This is a very nice original 6hp International Harvester Type M gas engine. It is a true survivor and has nice original paint and the original skids with pull rings which are almost never found! It is in excellent original condition as can be seen with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It turns over nicely with excellent compression. I haven’t run it but I’m sure with some fresh gas and a cleaned check valve it would start right up. It has lots of original stenciling on the hopper and also on the skids as can be seen and there is very little wear anywhere on it. The head isn’t repaired like so many of them are. It is ignitor fired and has the original safety wiring with the magneto. The fuel pump has been replaced with a faithful brass reproduction and it looks great. It also has a nice reproduction cast iron muffler on it. It has the original belt pulley. Everything on the engine is quite crisp and sharp and it doesn’t appear to have been messed with over the years. It’s just like they show in the original sales catalogs and about as nice as you could find! These original engines are getting harder to find every day as original farmsteads are quickly becoming a thing of the past!
