Found in a dry NJ garage attic, this apparently complete 1931 (likely built in April) 2-2.5HP Stover CT-2 Hit-&-Miss Stationary engine 17″ flywheels with 3″ spur gear will be a nice, likely relatively easy restoration. This DOES have the magneto, assuming it is the expensive. Wico EK but not sure as manuf. Unknown if this is a gas or kerosene but suspect the former. Probably could be switched via new jet size, etc. Block Casting Number 5T3CT2. Turns freely, feels like good compression, but need a good cleaning and re-rusting in the water and fuel tank. Don’t have the time to get running but there are lots of resources out there for these hobby, conversation, and old engine demo pcs. Pick-up from downtown Leonia, NJ, near the George Washington Bridge in the NYC area. Will require two strong individuals, liftgate, or ramp to load, as it’s likely over 200lbs.
