This is an extremely hard to find cast iron fuel mixer or carburetor for a small Alamo, Rock Island, Empire, or Taylor Vacuum hit and miss gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs and the fuel needle moves as it should. This mixer appears ready to go to work on an engine. These fuel mixers are very often missing or broken. It fits in a 1 1/4 hole in the bottom of the head. These mixers are next to impossible to find so if you’ve been looking for one to complete a restoration or to put on the shelf with the rest of your engine parts here it is. This is a very hard to find original vacuum check valve for a Taylor Vacuum hit and miss gas engine. It is in excellent, original, used condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know of. It mounts to the engine with two slots about 3 inches apart on center. It has 1 npt female pipe threads and they are in great shape. This check valve should be ready to be used on an engine or put on the shelf for a spare. These Taylor check valves are quite tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you need one don’t miss this one. The pictures tell the story. It would surely beat making one! This is a super original 2hp taylor vacuum hit and miss gas engine. These were used as engines, vacuum pumps, or a combination of the two. As can be seen it is in excellent original condition retaining most of its original paint! It even has paint on the crankshaft throw, yet. It turns over nicely and has some compression even after sitting for many decades. It has the original crank guard and muffler on it. It has a wico ek magneto. The magneto bracket has an old, well done weld repair and the rocker trip on the bracket is also repaired. These rockers are available rather inexpensively from several of the hobby suppliers. Other than those two minor issues there are no other cracks, breaks, or repairs that i can see or know of. The engine has the original vacuum valve on the side of the cylinder. The original decals are in great shape and this may be the nicest original taylor engine in existence! It will most likely be an upgrade for your engine and it would be a fine addition to any collection of nice original engines! Remember, they’re only original once!
