Here is an original ignition timer or contact for a 3hp Olds Type A hit and miss gas engine. It also may fit other sizes of engines but it came off a 3hp. Seems to be in great shape. It’s a nicely designed one and appears it should function well. This came off of a 10 flywheel engine. Vintage Magneto SYNCHRO-SCOPE Tester Spark Timer Hit-Miss Steam Tractor Engine. Used Vintage J and H Magneto Synchro-Scope Timer/Tester. Use for Magneto synchronous timing & spark testing. Overall fairly decent physical condition. Motor runs good, but cord is bad with outer cracked rubber coating. Directional forward & reverse switch works well. Belt is poor and probably needs replacement. There is no manual or instructions. Has not been used for years. No idea how it works or if it needs some work to function correctly. Will need some work or parts to function. This is from the estate of a Hit-Miss Engine collector & repairer. Overall size is approx 20″ long x 15″ x 15.
