Here’s a real nice old ALLEN bench-type magnet charger. It seems to be in great shape as can be seen. I used it just before I took the pictures and it works great! The tag says 6v but I’m pretty sure you can use 12v as well. These chargers are indispensable tools if you work on old engines or tractors as most magnetos could use a good zap to reenergize! I can deliver for free (or a cold beverage) to Coolspring, PA, next week or LeSueur, MN, Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, next year. These original magnet chargers are almost impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one to add to your shop here’s a really nice one. This is a VERY hard to find original Bosch DU4 Edition 18 4-cylinder base mount magneto. It is in great shape with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of except for a slight chip on the points cover which shouldn’t affect anything. It is counter-clockwise or anti clockwise rotation and the impulse works as it should. It turns over very nicely and seems to have very little wear in the bearings or the impulse. Everything seems to work as it should. It has good magnetism and puts out a nice blue spark on all four leadouts. Everything inside the points cover looks to be in great shape. It mounts on a 2 inch square bolt pattern and the mounting threads are in great shape in two of the holes but there are studs or bolts in two of them that will need to be removed if you so choose. These original CCW DU4 magnetos are almost impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one for an authentic restoration here’s a pretty nice one. Antique 3″ x 9.5″ Lonergan Steam Whistle Train Hit & Miss Engine Tractor Fire. Whistle measures approx 9.5 inches tall. Handle marked Lonergan Phila. 4787 (could be a 6 or 5 instead of an 8, I can’t tell – please see pics). Rim of the bowl marked Phila. The bell is a little less than 3 inches in diameter. Could be closer to 2.75 inches but it’s difficult for me to measure since the thing at the top prevents me from measuring directly through the middle. The bell is approx 4 3/8 inches tall. There’s a screw that prevents the handle from moving. I unscrewed it & the handle moved. The spring holding it felt strong & tight.
