Up for sale is a really nice hit and miss Engine. I have also been told its a Dairy Maid. Its definitely a 1HP. The engine does run. I have a video that I hope to get loaded. Doesnt run to bad, could use some fine tuning. Check ball seems to stick sometimes. Engine is mounted on a really nice cart. Engine has one old repair on the igniter and the trip rod. The welds are almost unnoticeable. Definitely a really nice small sized engine that is easy to move and lift around! Engine is so nice and cleans up so good I had it in my house! Some odd features of this Engine includes the 3 bolt head and the sub base. Gas tank sits inside the base. This engine needs nothing but a battery and coil and a little bit of fine tuning. Engine does have a little blow bye but recently had new rings and installed and I think it just needs some run time. Cylinder walls look great and has plenty of compression. See pictures, ask questions. My fastenal store is located in Mt Pleasant Iowa 52641. I can also store this Engine as long as needed if paid for in advance. Up for sale is a very nice complete Ideal Model R hit and miss Engine. Engine has good compression. Bearings seem good and tight. Has the hard to find fan and shroud still. Engine has the original cast iron muffler and brass carburetor. Also has a nice brass tag!! Previous owner ran and displayed this Engine this past summer. Should be good to go with a buzz coil and battery. Really nice sized and light weight engine to take to the shows! This is a real nice old headlight for a railroad locomotive. It is very unusual in that it is mostly cast iron construction. The housing and bonnet are all cast iron and the mounting framework is steel. It has a great look to it and is in excellent condition for it’s age with no cracks, breaks, or repairs other than the pivot pin in the hinge for the lens and the nut that holds it closed. It is also missing a small portion of one of the side lens retainers but this would be an easy repair and doesn’t affect anything the way it is. This light is quite large measuring about 23 inches wide, 22 inches deep, and 18 inches tall. As you can see I wired a temporary cord onto it. It lights up just as it should. The wires coming out of the housing are old and hard and should probably be replaced but it does work the way it is. The temporary cord I will keep for my next project. It has had the original glass locomotive number panels that go in the side frames replaced with masonite panels. It is extremely bright and really lights up the neighborhood at night! It has “GN” casting numbers and I don’t know which railroad it originally came from. If you do please educate me. I do know that lights like this are. Extremely difficult to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. It will likely be a long time before another one turns up and it probably won’t be this nice. I can also deliver it for free to LeSueur, MN, Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, swap meets or engine shows next year. The pictures tell the story. This is a VERY hard to find original Holley 234 kerosene vaporizer for a Fordson tractor. It is fresh from an old collectors estate and seems to be in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know of. Everything moves as it should. It mounts with two holes 2 11/16 inches apart on center. The intake hole is 1 9/16 inches in diameter and the hole where it mounts is 1 3/8 inches in diameter. These original Holley vaporizers are quite tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one for an authentic restoration here’s a really nice one. This is a rather hard to find original cast iron cone type muffler for a Hercules or other hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is in original condition with non cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It is about 10 3/8 inches in diameter and about 4 1/2 inches “thick”. It has 2 inch NPT threads and they are in great shape. These original cast iron mufflers are often missing on engines. They are rather tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets and they really set an engine off! If you’ve been looking for one to complete a restoration here’s your chance.
