John Deere / Associated magneto for hit miss engine. Mag is in good condition and ready to use. Leaving the mag with original patina, new owner can shine up if desired. John Deere magneto also used on the Associated/United engines that took the 2 bolt mags. Mounting holes are 2 center to center. Like a lot of these mags the original mounting holes must have been stripped out so someone repaired by putting a piece of brass in its place so should never have the same problem again. Threaded mounting holes have good threads. Has original wire on it. I recharged the magnets to make sure it was at full strength. Bench tested and HOT mag. Lights up a test light nice and bright when spun by hand. Guaranteed to be a HOT mag. This is a low tension mag meaning it is for use with ignitors and not high tension (spark plug). If you don’t see a part you need listed, good chance I have it and haven’t gotten around to it yet so just check with me. Like I said I have done this a long time and try to list everything accurately to explain all the good and the bad. If you decide you don’t want it or find another one cheaper, I won’t take it back. This is a VERY hard to find original Schebler brass carburetor for and early car, truck, tractor, marine engine or other application. It is in as found condition from an old farm shop and seems to be in remarkable condition for its age. It has a 1 1/2 inch intake and a 1 5/8 opening in the flange. It mounts with two holes 2 15/16 inches apart on center. There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. The throttle shaft has some wear and would be easy to rebush if you so choose. The needle valve moves as it should and everything seems to be in great shape. This carb measures about 9 inches tall overall. It surely would look great all polished up! These large Schebler carburetors are extremely difficult to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. This is a real nice original 4-feed mechanical oiler or lubricator for an early gas engine, tractor, or other piece of machinery. This was likely used on a Rumely Oil Pull tractor. It is a Model XW and was made by Manzel Brothers. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind except for the glass tent on the top. It may be able to be repaired as a large part of it is in decent shape. It seems to have very little wear anywhere on it. It turns and ratchets as is should and pumps oil from 3 of the lines but I can’t seem to get it to pump from the fourth line. It probably needs a good internal cleaning. The original level sight glass is good. It mounts with two holes about 11 3/4 inches apart on center. The case measures about 4 1/2 x 10 1/2 inches and is about 6 1/4 inches tall overall. Overall it is about 14 inches long. These early Manzel lubricators are extremely difficult to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. Barn fresh from an old collection… 2hp Montgomery Ward Sattley hit and miss engine. It is stuck and has a chunk out of a flywheel hub but a good pair of flywheels on a crankshaft with a belt pulley go with the sale. No other cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see. It is mostly complete but needs some ignition linkage parts and a magneto which are very findable. It has the original muffler. It could be a pretty decent engine with some TLC. Here’s a great chance to get into the hobby with a true hit and miss open crank engine! Barn fresh from an old collection and has never been messed with! Nice original 2 1/2hp Hercules Model S. Mostly complete with lots of original paint and decal. Engine is stuck but I doubt very badly as the piston is near the bottom and nothing is crusty. No cracks, breaks, or repairs other than one on the rear magneto cover. Engine seems to have very little wear as there is paint on the gear teeth and also on the head yet! Should be a very straightforward project and be a really nice engine with just a little elbow grease. This engine should be a pretty straightforward project and would be a fine addition to your early hit and miss engine collection or Hercules display. The pictures tell the story. You’ll like it. This listing is for a very complete and restorable engine from a relatively early Holt 75 crawler tractor. The last photo of this listing shows a nicely restored Holt 75 crawler tractor. That photo is for reference only. That tractor is NOT part of this listing. The skid that this engine is setting on is actually the front 8 feet or so of the original Holt crawler tractor frame complete with the original tractor lifting eyes on both front corners. This engine has a 7-1/2″ bore and an 8″ stroke which produces a displacement of 1,321 cubic inches. I can find no freeze cracks anywhere on any of the 4 cylinders or the flat belt driven water pump located on the lower front left corner of this engine. Three of the eight valve rocker arms were broken and welded a long time ago. One of the bronze arms on one of the compression releases is broken but both parts of that broken are present. The lower half of the intake manifold has been replaced by welding a piece of steel tubing to each of the cast iron Y’s that attach to each pair of cylinders. That kit can be machined and used to build a running model of this engine in approximately 1/7 scale. That casting kit is included with this full size engine. I had thought that it would be great to have a running 1/7 scale model setting on top of this running full size engine. The bronze serial number tag on this engine is shown in a photo of this listing and lists the following data. HP 75 at 550 RPM. Several years ago, someone mentioned that the fact that this engine has no starting bar holes in the perimeter of the flywheel, means that it is a relatively early production Holt 75 engine. Please tell me more about the history or vintage of this engine if you possibly can. Please let me know of you happen to have or know of any of those parts for sale or trade. I have owned this engine for almost 30 years and have kept it inside all of that time. The previous owner had it stored outside in front of his construction company in Three Forks Montana for many years. Someone left the priming cups open for a while so now this engine is stuck. I have not tried to free it up at all and will leave that task to the new owner. Some piece of crap brass scrap collector managed to steal the brass water outlet pipe that was on the right side of this engine as well as the top of the brass bodied lubricator. Fortunately the brass thief did not make off with the serial number and data tag that is on the left rear part of this gem. I will be adding more information soon. This is an extremely hard to find original Webster magneto ignitor bracket for a 1 1/2hp Sandwich hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is in good original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It is bracket number 303M31 and mounts with two 3/8 inch holes 2 5/8 inches apart on center. This bracket will fit the 1 1/2hp engines and possibly the 2hp and other sizes but please measure your engine to be sure it fits your application. It may also fit other engines. The magneto mounts on a 1 1/2 x 2 inch pattern so it would take a Webster M magneto. The points look to be in perfect shape. There is no noticeable wear on the movable shaft. Everything moves as it should and I think this bracket is ready to be used on an engine. It’s as close to NOS as you could hope to find!
