This is a very nice original Webster MM magneto. These were used on many different hit and miss and throttle governed gas engines back in the day and are quite a bit harder to find then most other Webster models.. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has very little noticeable wear in the bearings or on the trip finger. It has a new leadout wire. The magneto mounts on a 1 1/2 x 2 inch bolt pattern and all of the threads and studs are in great shape. I’ve checked this magneto and it puts out a hot fat, blue spark that will surely run your engine if it is setup properly. This magneto has the correct trip finger for an 8-cycle Aermotor engine but this could be replaced if you so choose with the correct finger for your application. It would even make a great spare on the shelf! The pictures tell the story. You won’t be disappointed in any way. This is an extremely hard to find original John Deere Model R2 two cylinder base mount magneto for an early Model P, GP, or GP Wide Tread tractor. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It is counter clockwise rotation and turns nice and smoothly with no noticeable bearing wear and the impulse works as it should. It mounts on a 2 inch square mounting pattern and the mounting threads are in great shape! . The leadout tower is in great shape. I haven’t been able to get it to spark so it may just need a good cleaning. It certainly would be a great restoration candidate. These original John Deere magnetos are quite tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you need one for an authentic restoration or for a spare on the shelf here it is! Rare and hard to find KW ignition type HK early brass high bar magneto for an antique prairie tractor like case, international harvester, and lots of other two cylinder antique tractors cars or stationary gasoline engines. Magneto looks complete and in very nice shape and has great drag. Porcelain too is good as is lead out tower. All loose and seems to have all the little pieces with it but please review pictures. I seldom see these large brass 4 magnet 2 cylinder mags. Base bolt holes are 2 inches on center and in good shape. Tag has a small tear in it. Engine is in great running shape. Ill be posting a video soon. Engine has the early cast iron carb. Looks to have new bearings. Overall engine is very tight and has good compression. Sitting on a very nice original? There are no cracks, breaks, or welds that I can find. One rocker arm holder looks to be home made but works! Head is in great shape! I can store this engine for a period of time if paid for. Battery and coil not included.
