Nice vintage hit & miss engine piston and rod. Estate find of a large hit & miss collection so I do not know which engine it is correct for so consider pictures and measurements to determine if it is right for you. Connecting rod – ABY. Piston is 4 in diameter. Message from a collector (not confirmed by me but maybe helpful). The connecting rod fits both 1 3/4 HP and 2 1/4 HP Associated gas engines, in both the water cooled version and the air cooled version. If the piston has the letters ABW on it, then this combo is for a 1 3/4 HP engine. If the piston has the letters AKY, then the combo is for a 2 1/4 HP engine. I’m not certain, but I think the 1 3/4 HP would use a 3 3/4″ diameter piston and the 2 1/4 HP would use a 4″ diameter piston.

This is a very hard to find original intake valve latch for an Associated hit and miss gas engine. It is part number BFP and is in excellent used condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It mounts to a 1 tall pushrod and is about 7 1/8 inches long overall. It is about 4 7/8 from the inside of the clamp to the inside of the fork. It is likely for a 6 or 8hp engine so please measure your engine to be sure it will work for you. This part is ready to be used on an engine with no extra attention. If you need one to add to your engine or to replace your broken or repaired one here is a great opportunity. Here is a nice original head for an Associated Chore Boy or United equivalent engine. Please check the measurements to make sure it is what you need. The valve heads and seats look great. The valves also feel good in their guides and only very minimal wear can be felt. For questions 419 789 1159. Very hard part to find. The mounting hole pattern is 4-7/8″ x 4-7/8″ measured across from each other. The carb mounts with 2 holes about 2-1/8 apart on center. 1 pipe for exhaust. No cracks, breaks, or welds that I can see or know of. Most items will go out faster though. I have many good parts and pieces I will be listing in the next few months. I try to do a very good job of listing everything I sell in a very accurate manner to explain all the good and bad points with the pictures and in the description. So if someone doesn’t pay I will ban them from my listings and also tell all my friends who also sell engine parts on here who to watch out for. If you haven’t caught on this is supposed to be mildly funny but yet serious at the same time. If you decide you don’t want it or find another one cheaper you I won’t take it back. Here is an original Webster igniter bracket for an Associated or United engine. It is in great shape. There is little or no wear in the moveable electrode area. It will need a new trip roller. The spring that holds the moveable electrode back is missing but that is a simple thing that could be bought at a hardware store. Check out the pictures and see if you need it. For questions 419 789 1159. Mounts to the engine with 2 holes 2 apart on center. Take a Webster K or L magneto with a 2″ x 2″ bolt pattern. No cracks, breaks, or welds. Here is a original igniter for a Associated or United engine. Its a little loose and will probably will need rebuilt but you might get it to work as is. It will probably need new springs and the trip part is a little chipped under the spring, that shouldn’t hurt it at all though. Check out the pictures and see if it something you need! HOT John Deere Low Tension Magneto for. Associated / United Hit Miss Gas Engine. Magneto is in good condition and ready to use. 2″ x 2″ apart-on-center 2 bolt mounting. Pot metal mag with new band. One of the mounting holes has a hairline crack – see photos. 2 mounting bolts included. I apologize for any inconvenience. Please feel free to call me with questions.
