Looks to be complete. Turns over with compression. Has exposed valves like a hit and miss engine. I think this is from the 20′s/30′s and was designed to charge batteries that were used to power homes before electricity was available to everyone. Great patina and over condition. Here is an original head with valves for a 6hp John Deere E gas engine. It appears that it has probably been repaired but it looks really nice. Please see the area that my fingers are pointing to. This head came off a running engine that had been dropped, it should be ready to use. Please take a look at the pictures and see if you need it. Has been repaired but looks great. Should be ready to use. The valves and seats look and feel great, very little wear. 5-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ Mounting Pattern. Weighs 25 lbs before box and packing material. For questions 419 789 1159. Here is a very nice head for a 1hp to a 2hp Hercules or Economy hit and miss engine. The valves and seats look and feel good. Check out the pictures and see if you need it. Fits a 1hp to 2hp Hercules or Economy hit and miss engines. 3/4″ carb hole, 1″ exhaust hole. The mounting bolts are about 2-9/16 apart from the next closest one on center. The valves feel good in their guides. The valve heads and seats look good. I would used some lapping compound on them before installing the head though. Thanks for looking at this listing! This is an extremely hard to find original unbroken or repaired cylinder head for a 6hp International Harvester Type M gas engine. It is part number HA 690 and is in great condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has a new throttle shaft and plate in it. The valve is nice in it’s guide but it needs the exhaust valve and spring. The seats look decent but you may want to touch them up anyway. The spark plug threads and exhaust threads are in great shape. This head mounts on a 5 3/8 inch square bolt pattern. If you need a head for your engine because yours is missing, broken, or repaired here’s your chance at a very nice one. A large percentage of 6hp M’s have broken or repaired heads! It would also make a great spare on the shelf. The pictures tell the story. You’ll like it. I can deliver this for free to LeSueur, MN, Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, next year.
