This is a very unusual and mostly original Victorian era vertical steam engine. I don’t know who the maker was so if you do please educate me. It is fresh from an old estate where it lived for decades! It has been loosely assembled as the original fasteners were missing as well as the bearing shims. It measures about 6 1/4 x 8 1/4 x 13 inches tall. The flywheel is about 13/16 x 6 1/4 inches in diameter. Overall this engine has a great look to it! There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of except for a very old repair or “stitch” in one upright as I’ve pointed out. Everything moves and interacts as it should and this was quite obviously a running engine at some point. WIth just some minor tinkering it should run again. Early steam engines like this are extremely tough to find and it would be a fine addition to your early steam engine display or collection. The pictures tell the story. You won’t be disappointed! I can be reached at 262 573 193 1 if you’d like to talk about it.
