Large IHC Brass Cylinder Oiler for Hit Miss Engine. Oiler is in good condition and ready to use. Has vent tube, check ball and all new gaskets. Bottom brass piece has been replaced. Glass measures 2 1/4″ W x 2 1/4″ H. No breaks, cracks or welds – t here are dings in the brass – see photos. I apologize for any inconvenience. Please feel free to call me with questions. Vintage Early Maytag Engine Model 92 Motor 1934 Single Hit Miss Runs! Here is a nice original Maytag 92. I believe this one was made in 1934. Looks like someone helicoiled the spark plug thread, so now it just uses a standard automotive type plug. These Maytags can be a bit temperamental at times, but once you get the carb set right for starting, it will start and run. The return spring on the kickstart needs to be shortened or replaced because the pedal doesn’t always return up when starting, but this is easily replaced. The ignition plate clamp is broken and missing the screw, so the plate is not tight on the engine. Honestly, this doesn’t seem to affect the running at all. It also needs a carb gasket, but again, it runs fine without it. See all photos for condition. This does have an older restoration and paint job. I have decided to leave this in it’s “work clothes”. You can choose wether you’d like to restore it further. I own several of these Maytags in my collection, and they are a great hobby. This would look great at an engine show, or just have it to teach the grandkids about history! Thanks for looking and feel free to ask any questions! Vintage Maytag Engine Model 72 Motor 1946 Twin Hit Miss Runs Great! Here is a nice original Maytag 72 Twin Cylinder. I believe this one was made in 1946. This starts easy and runs great. It has the Eisemann magneto. Mounted to a custom wood skid. These Maytags can be a bit temperamental at times, but once you get it set right for starting, it will sit and run nicely. This is missing the air cap, but the “farmer fix” from years ago actually seems to work fine. It also has a large dent in the flywheel, but this doesn’t affect it running much. It is also missing a couple bolts on one cylinder, looks like one is broken off. I have decided to leave this engine in it’s “work clothes”, as far as refinishing. You can choose wether you’d like to restore it further or run it as it is. I own several of these Maytags in my collection, and they are a great hobby. This would look great at an engine show, or just have it to teach the grandkids about history! Thanks for looking and feel free to ask any questions!
