The engine has nicely cast & machined iron castings. There is no makers name on the engine. The engine looks complete & runs nice on air. The base is original & is old painted wood to look like bricks. The engine stands about 6 tall to the top of the flywheel. The base measures 12 x 5-1/2. The engine weighs 6 lbs. In a 20 x 12 x 12 box. No history came with the engine; its just been sitting on a shelf for the last 50 years. Neat old antique heavy cast iron coke bottle steam engine with copper boiler. Engine stands about 10-1/2 tall on the board & has a 4-1/4 diameter flywheel. The boiler stands about 16 tall to the top of the smoke stack. Inside the fire box the boiler has some heating tubes sticking down out of the bottom of it & the fire box burner is liquid fueled by the small tank in front of the boiler. The engine turns over nice & is well-built. The castings are nicely made using patterns. There is no name on the engine. It was made a long time ago & it has old thick original paint on it. Its an early model & Id guess it was made around 1905 to 1910. No history came with the engine; its just been sitting on a shelf for the last 50 years. The engine, boiler, board, etc. Weigh about 11 lbs. The board the engine & boiler sits on measures about 13-3/4 long x 7-1/2 wide. FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION IS A VINTAGE “INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER GAS OR GASOLINE HIT AND MISS ENGINES ” 8″ BY 6″ SUPER HEAVY AND THICK (OVER 7 OUNCES) PORCELAIN GASOLINE & OIL ADVERTISING SIGN. THIS SIGN HAS AWESOME GRAPHICS OF A DIE-CUT OLD TIME INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER HIT AND MISS ENGINE WHICH WERE VERY POPULAR ON FARMS BACK IN THE DAY. THIS DIE-CUT SIGN ADVERTISES FOR 2.3 HORSEPOWER ENGINES AND 5 HORSEPOWER ENGINES. YOU COULD USE THE BELTS ON THIS ENGINE TO DO MANY TASKS ON THE FARM SUCH AS WASH CLOTHES, SHUCK CORN, PUMP OUT A WELL ETC. THESE GRAPHICS ARE RARE AND SELDOM SEEN AND ARE SOME OF MY FAVORITE ALONG WITH THE VERY HEAVY OVER 7 OUNCES OF DIE-CUT PORCELAIN AND YOU HAVE A GREAT PIECE OF ADVERTISING. THIS IS A HARD TO FIND SIGN IN THIS CONDITION AND DOES SHOW LIGHT WEAR AND USE BUT HAS AMAZING COLOR AND GLOSS. THIS SIGN HAS 2 HOLES FOR HANGING AND IS MADE OF HEAVY DIE-CUT PORCELAIN. THIS IS A VERY HARD TO FIND SIGN IN THE THICK HEAVY PORCELAIN VERSION THAT DIE-CUT AND WEIGHTS 7 OUNCES.. NOT CHEAP TIN OR THIN METAL.
