Vintage Restored 1935 Maytag Gas Engine Motor Hit Miss Wringer Washer

Up for sale is a very nice restored Maytag Model 92, 11-111, Antique hit miss Gas Engine. The flywheel has serial # 659076 stamped on it so it was in production Sep 1935. Painted with original Maytag green automotive paint. The skids you see under my motors go with the engine. I have been restoring these engines for over 10 years. I also restore Maytag wringer washers and put Maytag motor’s on them as well. This engine was completely taken apart and SAND blasted BEAD blasted cleaned and painted the original Maytag green paint. I take a lot of pride in these motors as you can see and I like to do a little extra detailing such as the lettering and the numbers as you can see in the pictures. I think it makes the motor’s stand out better. Lot of guys likes to copy my work so I have a trade mark that I can only tell that it is one that I had done. I do not use any junk parts on my motors. As you can see this engine is complete and not missing any parts such as the pulley and air filter. It has new rings, condenser and spark plug and plug wire with new ends. I also honed out the Cylinder jug and carburetor is completely rebuilt with all new parts. This engine has been restored and freshly painted and the fuel tank and top plate was sealed so it will not rust again. I do not paint the flywheels like some people I just polish them up nice. After putting it all back together I ran three tanks of fuel through it and it runs just fine. I like to run my engines that much so I know it will run great and help seat the rings a little for you. Then I put on a set of real nice WATER TRANSFER DECAL that I had made and sell. NOT those NASTY sticky fly by night cheap decals. The coil is good and has hot nice spark. I have a lot of people will send me a motor to restore for them as well. All it needs now is fuel and you can start it with your hand, it is that easy to start. No breaks cracks or welds. I use foam spray to pack the motor and it takes a lot. Please read below pictures. This washer is not part of this sale. I will start packing the engine and it takes about 5 days to pack it so the foam spray can dry a little. Thank you for looking. The flywheel does have a little pitting on it which does not affect the running of the engine. Someone had drilled out the holes to 7/16 bolts on the exhaust where the flange bolts to. After putting it all back together I ran three tanks of fuel through it and it runs just fine. I like to run my engines that much so I know it will run great and help seat the rings a little for you. Up for sale is a very nice Maytag Model 72 Antique hit miss Gas Engine. The flywheel has serial # 889117 stamped on it which was in production 1939. I have been restoring these engines for over 12 years now and I sell a lot of them. I also restore Maytag ringer washers and put Maytag motor’s on them as well. This engine and every engine I do is completely taken apart and sand blasted, bead blasted clean and painted with DuPont paint. I take a lot of pride in these motors. I don’t like the way they do things but I have no control of that. I have never seen anyone that say they have restored a Maytag engine that does not show the work that I do. But I put my own trade mark on my engines then I know it is on that I restored proper. It has new rings, condenser, spark plug wires with new ends, new spark plugs. I also honed out the Cylinder jugs. This engine has been restored and freshly painted and the tank and top plate was sealed so it will not rust again. I do not paint the flywheels like some people. I polish all my flywheels by had with no power. After putting it all back together I ran 2 tanks of fuel through it and it runs just fine. Detailing with the correct decals finished it. All it needs now is fuel and you can start it with your hand, it is that easy to start. It takes around five days to pack the motor so foam spray can set up. P>PLEASE READ BELOW THE PICTURES. This offering is for a scarce version of the Twin cylinder model 72 D Maytag Multi-Motor engine. Its not a terribly early engine but its still early enough to have been painted all green as the engines of the first few months production were. A matter of collectable consideration is its 3 months from the last month of the green engine production. This one is in exceptionally nice original condition and looks largely unmolested. Some of the original decals are showing but very weakly. No Crack breaks or welds. It features the footed base and the earliest version of the tank top plate. This is proven by no reinforcing before or after the segment pin boss. See the close up of this area. The engine is loose and turns smoothly with good compression. The coil has continuity and it sparks well but it needs a condenser. This is one of those engines that is a prime example for preservation. It would retore well but it would destroy the originality. Serial number 853124 and backing plate # 44389 If you know how to read these numbers, These numbers are considered numbers matching, meaning the plate and the flywheel likely are original to each other. It is priced at what I consider fair price for a well preserved original condition engine prime for Preservation as found. The Camera Flash brightened up the green a lot. Its not that bright in person. It has not been cleaned only spray oiled. It should clean up a lot more with some cleaning.

I have a model 41 wood tub washing machine serial number 3274. This is an electric model and the motor and the fiber gear are missing. The wood is very nice for the age and still solid with nice wood grain. I believe these were made with cypress wood which would explain the reason why they last. There is still some remnants of the original gold paint on the gear assembly and the legs and gears. This is in original condition and everything in the pictures is all original including the decals. Between 1911 and 1925 the model 41 and the model 42 were produced simultaneously and serial numbered in sequence so the exact amount of these is unclear. The serial number is 3274 and is stamped into the right front leg. I could not get a picture of the 4 because it is behind the steel leg but I did get the 327. The wooden agitator is loose on the arbor and is worn badly so I assume this worked hard and reliable. The middle steel band had rusted in two right beneath the wringer but is still there and the very bottom band is rusted also right beneath the wringer but is still intact. This area would have seen a lot of water and moisture and that being the reason for the corrosion in that area. I believe the band could be repaired if needed and the nails are still in the place where the band belonged. I found this at a century old estate sale in Minnesota, 3 hours north of Newton Iowa where it all began. I live about 3 hours from Newton Iowa and I can find some neat stuff from Maytag but I rarely find anything this early. A true survivor and maybe one of the last to be found. You are responsible for arranging this shipper and I will deliver to my nearest store in Dubuque Iowa on Cedar Cross Road. Other customers have arranged a shipper to come to my residence and pick the item up which is okay also otherwise you are welcome to pick it up yourself. I rebuild Antique Gas engines Full time. So this is my Job and reputation on the line. This engine was completely taken apart and cleaned (I don’t sandblast antique engine parts) painted original Dark Hunter green color that maytag used. As you can see the engine is complete. In the last picture the engine is running I’ve ran two full tanks of gas in this engine. It has new rings, condenser and spark plug and plug wire with new ends. Gaskets, decals and wood skids. Honed out the Cylinder jug carburetor was completely taken apart and rebuilt. Decals are correct and placed in correct places on the Motor. Runs Good Starts Easy I use original bolts and washers.
