Here is a very nice old 1 3/4hp Nelson Brothers Model P hit and miss gas engine. It is fresh from an old collection where it lived for many years. It is in great shape with no cracks, breaks or repairs other than a drop of weld on the trip finger on the magneto. It turns over nicely with excellent compression and everything seems to move and function as it should. There is very little wear on the gearing or in the bearings. It was gone through mechanically by a previous owner and primed but not painted. It has the original name tag and muffler on it. This engine would be a very straightforward project and is not a very common engine! It would be a fine addition to your early hit and miss engine collection or Nelson Brothers display. This is an extremely hard to find original Webster magneto ignitor bracket for an 8-cycle Aermotor hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is in excellent original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It is bracket number 303M57 and mounts with two 7/16 inch holes 1 15/16 inches apart on center. This bracket is for the 8-cycle Aermotor engines but please measure your engine to be sure it fits your application. The magneto mounts on a 1 1/2 x 2 inch pattern so it would take a Webster M magneto… The points look to be in perfect shape. There is no noticeable wear on the movable shaft. Everything moves as it should and I think this bracket is ready to be used on an engine. If you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. This is an extremely hard to find original Webster magneto ignitor bracket for a 6, 8, and 10hp International Harvester Famous or Titan hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is in good original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It mounts with two 1/2 inch holes 1 7/8 inches apart on center. This bracket will fit the 6, 8, and 10hp and possibly other sizes but please measure your engine to be sure it fits your application. It may also fit other engines. The magneto mounts on a 2 7/16 x 2 13/16 inch pattern so it would take a Webster or Podlesak JY magneto. The points look to be in perfect shape. There is a little wear on the movable shaft and a few pins need tightening up but I think the bracket is usable as is. Everything moves as it should. These brackets are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. Here is a very rare magneto / igniter setup for a Simplicity Gas Engine. This is an early bracket with the highly sought after and rare Podlesak magneto. Or even if you just need a mag, you won’t find them much nicer in barn fresh condition than this. I’ve looked the mag & igniter over and they seem to be in nice original condition. I don’t see anything broken and there are no welds or repairs. The igniter and mag both look nice and greasy & they rotate smoothly. Neither are stuck nor are the worn out. The shafts feel nice and snug. I hooked a meter up to the mag and flipped it with a screwdriver & it moved the needle back and forth. So the coils should be good. It might need a recharge on the magnets, but I think it should work without much more than a good cleanup & lubrication. This is a really nice outfit & I would be very excited to find this if I needed it for my Simplicity engine. 2 7/8 center to center on the mounting holes. This bracket will fit the 1 1/2hp engines and possibly the 2hp and other sizes but please measure your engine to be sure it fits your application. It may also fit other engines. The magneto mounts on a 1 1/2 x 2 inch pattern so it would take a Webster M magneto. The points look to be in perfect shape. There is no noticeable wear on the movable shaft. Everything moves as it should and I think this bracket is ready to be used on an engine. It’s as close to NOS as you could hope to find! Here is a Webster Podlasak Magneto as used on many early hit and miss engines. These were esp popular on the IHC Famous/Titan line, but were also used on other early engines. These mags are much rarer than the later Websters and really dress up an early engine! This one has been on the shelf in my collection for many years & I’m thinning out a few mags this winter. These don’t come up often so don’t miss it if you need one. The mag is complete and I don’t see any damage of any type on it. It does not turn, but hopefully that just means it’s not worn out. Here is a very rare piece! This J112 igniter bracket and Webster magneto fits a large Armstrong gas engine. You see few mag brackets around now and then, but you rarely see anything for an Armstrong. The Webster is the large size like you see on the bigger engines. I’ve kept this mag on the shelf for years as part of our collection, but I figured if anyone needed it for an Armstrong engine, it just as well go back in service. It is greasy and dirty, but I think everything on it is complete and seems to be in good shape. The mag is missing one screw, but that’s the only thing I can see gone. It even has the original starting trip lever. The Mag & igniter both move freely and I don’t see anything broken or repaired on either. The points look good and it even has the original terminal clip on the igniter and the original name band on the mag. These brackets are hard to find and this one is in good condition for being 100+ years old. Don’t miss it if you need one. Please check out my other engine parts auctions. HIT and MISS ENGINE. 2hp STOVER, Model KA. This engine was restored about 30 years ago and has been in storage in my shed or garage ever since. It was completely stripped and repainted the correct, Stover green, fitted with new rings and a new wrist pin. The Con Rod small end bushing and piston were bored out to match the new wrist pin. The machine work was professionally done. It has a WEBSTER, low-tension MAGNETO and IGNITER for ignition. It is not currently firing. This has always been troublesome. I recommend the magneto be “recharged” and the igniter be rebuilt. At that point, it should be a good runner. Compression is OK and should improve as the rings wear in. The following items are missing and are not included. CONDITION : Older restoration, so paint shows normal scrapes, marks, and a little fading. It was cleaned for the photos in the ad, but could use a more-thorough cleaning. The last time I added gas to the tank (20 years ago) it had a slow leak and needs repair. It is currently not firing due to ignition issues stated above. It needs a new pushrod spring. See detailed pics for condition. Thanks for looking :. Here is a Webster Podlasak Magneto as used on many early hit and miss engines. These were esp popular on the IHC Famous/Titan line, but were also used on other early engines. These mags are much rarer than the later Websters and really dress up an early engine! This one has been on the shelf in my collection for many years & I’m thinning out a few mags this winter. These don’t come up often so don’t miss it if you need one. The mag is complete and I don’t see any damage of any type on it. It does not turn, but hopefully that just means it’s not worn out.
