Here is a Webster magneto bracket for a Nelson Brothers built engine. There are no cracks, breaks, or welds that I can see or know of. The trip roller does have a small amount of braze but that doesn’t really count. Reproduction ones are easy to get if you want to change it out. Check out the pictures and see if you need it. For questions 419 789 1159. SPECIAL NOTE: This is for a Nelson Brother built engine. Fits a Nelson Brothers built engine. Mounts to the engine with two holes about 2-1/8 apart on center. The mag mounting is 1-1/2″ x 2″. Small normal amount of wear on the moveable electrode, it should work just fine. The points look good. There is a small amount of braze on the roller, it probably had a flat spot someone built up. It should work fine or new rollers are available. Thanks for looking at this listing! This is a NOS, new old stock Webster magneto/ignitor trip assembly for a 2 1/2-14hp Hercules or Economy hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It may fit other models or sizes so please do your homework to be sure it fits your application. It is in excellent, unused condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind and has absolutely no wear anywhere on it. It fits on a 3/4 square push rod. Please measure your engine to be sure it works for your application. This assembly is ready to be used on an engine or put in your inventory as a spare. These NOS original parts are quite tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets! If you’ve been looking for one to complete a restoration or to replace your broken or repaired one here’s your chance. The pictures tell the story. It would surely beat making one! This is an original Webster magneto ignitor bracket for a Waterloo or Contract hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It should fit all sizes of the Waterloo and Contract engines but please measure your engine to be sure it will work for you. It is bracket number 303K8 and seems to be in good shape with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of except that it needs a new roller and spring both of which are readily available. The points are in great shape and the movable shaft has very little noticeable wear and moves as it should. It mounts with two holes 2 1/8 inches apart on center and the magneto mounts on a 2 x 2 inch hole pattern. After the addition of a roller and some very minor attention this should be a good, usable ignitor. If you need a Waterloo or Contract ignitor bracket for any reason here is a pretty nice one. These K8 brackets are getting harder to find with each passing year so don’t miss it. The pictures tell the story. It would also make a great spare on the shelf.

Here is a Webster JZ magneto. It seems to be in pretty nice shape. It is missing its mounting studs for some reason but the threads in the case all look good. It has only minimal wear in the bearing area. It makes a nice hot spark. Please take a look at the pictures and decide if you need it. For questions 419 789 1159. The mounting pattern is about 2-13/16″ x 2-3/16″. The studs area missing but the holes and threads in them look good. Armature spins freely with springs off, no armature drag. Only very minimal wear. This is a low tension magneto meant to work with an igniter. It will not produce a spark that will jump an air gap no matter who tells you it will or how close you hold the wire to ground.. It makes a spark that can be seen when the igniter points open. Most items will go out faster though. I have many good parts and pieces I will be listing in the next few months. I try to do a very good job of listing everything I sell in a very accurate manner to explain all the good and bad points with the pictures and in the description. So if someone doesn’t pay I will ban them from my listings and also tell all my friends who also sell engine parts on here who to watch out for. If you haven’t caught on this is supposed to be mildly funny but yet serious at the same time. If you decide you don’t want it or find another one cheaper you I won’t take it back. I don’t see any breaks or repairs. Points move freely with no slop in shalt. Retard lever is missing tab that goes in the indents. Fits 2 1/2 – 12hp engines. Most of my item are old and I will try to do my best to give an accurate description.

HOT Webster Type K Low Tension Magneto. Flip type mag with 2 bars. Pot metal body with brass back plate. Bench tested – HOT with test light. 4 bolt mounting 2″ x 2″. The studs look good. Model K Webster magneto. Has the extra roller for a stover engine. Timing lever is not stuck, the little roller is stuck however. The 2″ x 2″ mounting holes have good threads. With the springs removed, and giving the armature a quick spin by hand while scraping the wire against my metal bench a weak spark can be seen. Highly unlikely it’s not enough spark to run a engine. Should be a great candidate for a rebuild or for parts. See pictures for the absolute best description. Will need gone through and fixed up before being put to use!
