Up for your consideration is a very nice K26 Webster brass body hit and miss gas engine magneto. This magneto is for 2 1/2 to 12 HP Economy and Hercules hit and miss gas engine but should work on other engines. The mag is loose and turns nicely. Looks like everything is there minus the wire and a oil cap. Would be a perfect magneto for an original condition Economy or Hercules gas engine as there’s a lot of original paint and patina. This is a pretty nice older restoration 1 1/2hp Economy hit and miss engine. It features an open crankcase with spoked flywheels and has Webster low tension magneto and ignitor ignition. It is in good condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I’m aware of. It has the original cast iron muffler and what appears to be the original gas tank which is in good shape. It has a belt pulley on it so you can run your small belt driven equipment. The magneto has good spark and with some fresh gas I’m sure it would run although I haven’t tried it. It has excellent compression! It ran a few years ago at local shows. The original serial tag appears to have been misstamped at the factory as a 2 1/2hp engine. I can deliver it for free to LeSueur, MN, Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, later this year. It can stay here as long as needed as long as it’s paid for and I will load it for you. The pictures tell the story. If you need an engine for the shows this year here is a pretty decent one. It has been professionally rebuilt and has real good spark. The roller that the tripper rides on is brand new so there are no flat spots on it. It has new oilers for the shaft and a new spark wire to hook up to your ignitor. Bracket part number is 303J1. This bracket is in perfect shape, and ready to use. Very nice original patina, no pitting, and no cracks, breaks, or welds. I believe this is correct for a 6hp only, but you IHC experts can be the judge of that. 2 on centers for the mounting holes. Movable electrode has almost no wear, and the points look like new. Here is a super tough to find piece. This is a Webster Magneto and igniter setup for an International Famous or Titan gas engine. The center to center hole measurement is 1 15/16 inches. I believe this fits the 8 & 10 HP engines. I have an 8 & 10 HP and the measurements and setup look identical to these models. I’m not sure about the 12 HP, but if you’re looking for one you will probably recognize it. The bracket and magneto are all complete except it’s missing one spring on the mag. It also needs a new name band for the top of the magneto. Both of these pieces are available. Other than this I don’t see anything broken or damaged. The mag is stuck and will no doubt need some work. It may need new points/shafts are they are pitted. But overall it seems to be a good solid outfit and if you need one – here it is! These are very hard to find mags and this would make a nice piece to complete your engine.
