This is a true hit and miss engine. Excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs other than the homemade rocker arm. It sits on the original skids, has the original crankguard, gear guard, muffler, pulley, and gas tank. Lots of original paint and pinstriping with more to be found under the grease, I’m sure! It has super compression and although I haven’t tried to run it I’m sure it wouldn’t take much as a previous owner had it running a few years ago. I can deliver for free (or a cold beverage) to Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, later this year. It can also be picked up here and stay here as long as needed as long as it’s paid for. For your consideration is an original Wico EK Magneto, this is used on many different Hit miss stationary engines. The serial number on the tag is 714763. I tested it and it is a working hot mag at the time of testing which the spark is shown in the last picture, it is jumping the gap of a 3076 Autolite plug with the tang removed, but there is no guarantee on this mag as this is an older electrical item and things can happen with age. The brass front cover is supposed to hand the stop button but its missing, the brass band and front cover can be polished a little more and has a couple slight dings in them as well as some original black paint and some green paint, the back cover appears to be zinc. The lead out tower is new, as well as the armature bolt and roller are new, it has a new condenser and I charged the magnets on my mag charger. There is not a wire included with the sale as I used my own for testing. It has all 4 screws. Please read the following full description so you understand the terms of the sale. For your consideration is an original Wico EK Magneto, this is used on a Hit miss stationary engine. The serial number on the tag is 996992. The brass front cover is painted black with a red paint streak and has the stop button with white paint on it. The brass band can be polished a little more and the serial tag is not brass, the back cover appears to be brass which most back covers are zinc. The lead out tower is older, there is not a wire included with the sale as I used my own for testing. It has all 4 screws. I did not open this mag up as it works fine. I tested it and it is a working hot mag at the time of testing making a spark gap across a 3076 spark plug with the tang removed, which the spark is shown in the last picture. However there is no guarantee on the mag as this is an older electrical item and things can happen with age. This has the zinc front cover with no stop button, there are remnants of original black paint. The brass side cover polished well, which both covers could be polished up better with more time. It has a new lead out tower. There is no plug wire included, I used one of my own for testing. The side cover has all new screws. It has a new armature bolt and roller.
