This is a rather hard to find original Wico EK Magneto mounting and trip bracket for a 1 1/2 or 2hp Hercules or Economy hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It has no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. It mounts with two holes 1 3/4 inches apart on center and the spark plug threads are in great shape. The pictures tell the story. These original Wico EK magneto brackets are quite tough to find so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. It would also make a great spare on the shelf. 1 1/2hp Sandwich Cub hit and miss engine with a Gould Shapley Muir tag from Canada. Restoration was started but not finished. Valves have been done but need to be lapped in. I think the engine has new rings. It will need a gas tank plumbed up and the restoration finished. The rocker arm and stand have old repairs and there are a few chipped teeth on the pinion gear but it should be fine with no attention. Has the correct Wico EK magneto on it. Should be a pretty straightforward project. I can deliver for free (or a cold beverage) to Coolspring, PA, later this month or LeSueur, MN, Baraboo, WI, or Portland, IN, next year. This is a pretty nice original Wico EK magneto for a spark plug fired hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. These magnetos were used on many gas engines of the day. There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. Everything seems to be in great shape for its age. I checked it just before I took the pictures and it puts out a good, hot spark that should run your engine if it is set up properly. The threads in the mounting holes are in great shape. It is serial number 105638 and has the original serial tag on the top. These Wico EK magnetos are getting tougher to find every day so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. It would also make a great spare on the shelf. Older restoration Sears Farm Master built by Cushman. It is an earlier one with a brass carburetor. It turns over nicely with super compression and shouldn’t take much to make noise. There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of and it has the correct Wico EK magneto on it. This is a throttle governed engine.
