International Harvester – McCormick Deering 1-1/2 HP- Hit Miss Throttle Governed Engine – Runs good, starts easy. Cart is a little wobbly, I apologize! Not positive on the year it was made. Mid to late 1920′s I believe. About 90 years old. This engine is in good shape. It starts right up and runs good. Original Decal Paint still partially visible! Seems to be all complete except for the exhaust pipe. I put a temporary exhaust on it. It is NOT included. Has a Good Fuel tank and Fuel Pump, This is a more rare style AC fuel pump with a glass fuel separator bowl to catch debris. Everything seems to be original except the exhaust , oiler, and one of the fuel tubes is copper instead of brass. It has an old original looking spark plug. It has a good oiler, but I do not think it is the proper oiler, needs to be pressurized. Starts easily, Hot Wico Mag. No Cracks or Breaks or Welds that I can see anywhere! The Cart & Exhaust are NOT INCLUDED. I will be listing more Engines & Parts in the next couple weeks, you may want to add me to your favorite sellers! ALL YOU HAVE TO DO AFTER YOU PAY IS GO PICK IT UP WHEN IT ARRIVES. THEY WILL CALL YOU. I WILL SHRINK WRAP THEM SO NO PARTS CAN COME LOOSE. I WILL SECURE IT TO A PALLET AND BUILD A CUSTOM CRATE AROUND THE ENGINE SO IT WILL ARRIVE SAFE. IT WILL ALSO BE INSURED FOR GOOD MEASURE. Here is a pretty nice old International Harvester 6hp Type M gas engine. It is a throttle governed engine. It is fresh from an old collection where it lived for many years. It is in excellent shape for it’s age and has super compression. The Wico EK magneto is very hot and the engine runs good by putting gas in the mixer bowl. I’m sure it would run on gas from the tank but haven’t tried it. The flywheels run true. There is very little wear on the gearing or the main bearings or anywhere else on the engine. It has a very well done braze repair on the had that could easily be ground down and it has a break on the throttle shaft which I have pointed out. It functions fine like this or it could easily be replaced or repaired. There are no other cracks, breaks, or repairs anywhere on it that I can see or know of. It has the original serial tag on it. These 6hp M’s are real workhorses if you’d like to run a grinder, sheller, or other piece of equipment. It would be a fine addition to your hit and miss engine collection or International Harvester lineup. The pictures tell the story. You’ll like it.
