Maytag 72 with wico magneto. Engine runs good – been siting for about a year. Rebuilt engine for my niece to help fight breast cancer – she passed about a month before engine was finished – then it was left in shop for almost a year as we got on with our lives. Finally got to it and now its up for sale. Great starter for a girl – maybe your daughter, niece, wife, girlfriend or your mother ? This is a super original 2hp taylor vacuum hit and miss gas engine. These were used as engines, vacuum pumps, or a combination of the two. As can be seen it is in excellent original condition retaining most of its original paint! It even has paint on the crankshaft throw, yet. It turns over nicely and has some compression even after sitting for many decades. It has the original crank guard and muffler on it. It has a wico ek magneto. The magneto bracket has an old, well done weld repair and the rocker trip on the bracket is also repaired. These rockers are available rather inexpensively from several of the hobby suppliers. Other than those two minor issues there are no other cracks, breaks, or repairs that i can see or know of. The engine has the original vacuum valve on the side of the cylinder. The original decals are in great shape and this may be the nicest original taylor engine in existence! It will most likely be an upgrade for your engine and it would be a fine addition to any collection of nice original engines! Remember, they’re only original once!
