For a 100+ year old engine, it is in good clean condition; until this week, the engine last ran 10 years ago. We fired it up this week! We test ran it for 10 minutes. 2 HP engine; engine spins freely, no cracks / no splits in the casting. Weighs over 250 lbs (estimated). Comes with hand crank, buzz box ignition, new fuel tank, some exhaust piping and wooden sled. The unit has been in my family for 40+ years and was run every 2 or 3 years until 2013 (when the owner passed away). Lightly used; In 40 years, it has less than 2 hours of run time. It was always stored in a dry location; our garage or in our shed. Water cooling compartment has no cracks or leaks; the water drain valve works.. There appears to be braze repair on exhaust valve rocker arm (photo) but it is mechanically sound. Please contact me if you have questions. We do recommend our Red Kote fuel/gas tank liner for coating the insides of the tanks prior to use. It makes a very nice hot snapping spark! Please take a look at the pictures and decide if you need it. If you want to talk about it 419 789 1159. For a Witte engine and possibly others. Very hot spark that can be seen and heard. No wear can be felt in the armature bearings. The mounting pattern is about 3-3/8″ x 1-7/8″ but the holes are a little elongated. Hard to find magneto! I think I list items very accurately but my opinion on condition may differ from yours. I have not had most of these mags apart and may not know what the inside looks like. If you want advice on how to use it please give me a call and I’ll be glad to help. Please do not be a clown and tear it all apart and then complain about something.
