Here is a very nice Wizard Type R friction magneto. It is in great shape. I hooked it up to a 12 volt battery and it spun just as it should. Please check out the pictures and see if you need it. For questions 419 789 1159. SPECIAL NOTE: This is friction type generator. This mag is meant to be used with a coil. It is not meant to be able to start an engine but is meant to take the place of the batteries once the engine is running. It in itself will not produce a spark that will jump an air gap. Mounts with 2 holes about 4-7/8 apart on center. About 10″ long, 5-3/4″ wide, and 7-1/2 tall. Weighs about 10-1/2 lbs before any box or packing materials. I think I list items very accurately but my opinion on condition may differ from yours. In my opinion this is a great magneto. If you have any questions about how to use it on your engine please ask. This is a very scarce Wizard 2S low tension rotary magneto for an old engine. I believe it had applications on some of the smaller Root and Vandervoort engines as well as others. It has a brass body and is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs other than the missing name band which should be available as a reproduction. It mounts with two holes 2 inches apart on center and the mounting threads are in great shape. It has very minimal wear in the rear bearing and turns over nicely with great magnetic pull. It has great spark and should be ready to be used on an engine. I don’t know what the gear is on it and it could surely be changed to the gear of your choice. These rotary Wizard magnetos are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. Here is a nice looking brass bodied Wizard low tension magneto. It produces a very nice spark and has no noticeable amount of wear. The name tag is starting to crack but that will not effect the operation of the mag. Please take a look at the pictures and decide if you need it. SPECIAL NOTE: This is a low tension magneto, it is meant to work with an igniter and will not produce at spark that will jump an air gap. It will not work with a spark plug. The spark it produces can be observed by rubbing a wire from the terminal against the case of the mag while turning the shaft. It does have to be timed to the engine. Here is a very nice Wizard Model 2S low tension magneto. This mag appears to be in great shape and possibly rebuilt. The brass name tag has been soldered in several places but that will not hurt the operation of the mag. It produces a very nice hot spark. Please take a look at the pictures and decide if you need it. SPECIAL NOTE: This is a low tension magneto, it is meant to work with an igniter and will not produce at spark that will jump an air gap. Here is a rare Wizard Model ES friction magneto. I have never seen other like it. I think it was originally meant to be driven off an old gas engine flywheel and meant to be used to make power for the ignition system. An engine cannot start off a generator like this but it can take the place of batteries once the engine is running. Please take a look at the pictures and see if you need it. Would look excellent on your engine or in you man cave! The bearings have some wear but nothing that should hurt anything. I hooked it up to a 12 volt battery and it took off right away and spun just as it should. This is a heavy item, it weighs 21 lbs before any box and packing material.
