Original Vintage Old Tall Matched Set Of 4 John Deere Cast Iron 5 Spoke Wheels Hit & Miss Gas Engine Maytag / Briggs Cart / Steam Punk Industrial Truck. They have the JD logo and part #J-1361-H cast on them. All four wheels are 9 3/4 dia. With a 1 1/2 face. They have a flat face makes for a nice cart. The axle hole is 1 3/4 dia. They have traces of John Deere green paint showing. Nice matched set to make a small to medium size engine truck for a Maytag / Briggs or other small hit & miss engine or your steam punk cart or table. Mounting bolts are 2 1/8 on centers. No play in movable shaft. Springs are very good. Points are like new. Should be ready to use. I think this is for 4 Hp engines. Most of my item are old and I will try to do my best to give an accurate description.
Up for sale is this line shaft bearing, used in good condition, rusty but usable, all bolts should free up with some heat. Babbitt looks in good shape. Appears to be for a 1 1/2 diameter shaft. No cracks or repairs. See pictures for details.
These are about 70% larger than the small set. These cast iron bolsters take a lot of the work and all of the welding out of making a cart for your engine. One pair of stationary and a pivoting bolster with axle mounting hardware designed to work with axles 1 5/16″ to 2″ in diameter recommended for use on engines 4hp and up. A lot of you have bought wheels in the past with the idea of actually using them one day, well dig them out and dust them off (or leave the dust on) now is your chance to put them back to work even if they take different size axles, due to the design you can run any combination of 1 5/16″ to 2″diameter axles between the front and rear. Bolsters are 5 1/2″ tall and the width spacing between the mounting holes on the pivoting bolster base is 9 ¾”. Finished height of cart will vary depending on the diameter of the wheels used. Cast iron will give an antique look many prefer over fabricated strap steel and help your engine really stand out at the next show. Can of root beer for size comparison, not included. Fits a 1 3/8 crank shaft. Has shims and grease cup. 14 1/2 long overall. 11 1/8 between center of crankshaft and wristpin. Cast iron governor assembly with angled gear. It is not worn. It is missing the tin type bracket that goes over the end governor weights. Most of my item are old and I will try to do my best to give an accurate description.
Came from a local estate. Still retains some of its original red paint. Everything turns and is not froze up. The wire that comes off the top has no insulation on it as seen in the last photo. This will have to be fixed. I think it’s complete, but since I don’t know how this thing works I’m going to sell it as not working and for restoration or parts.
