Up for sale is a really super nice and rare circa 1890 Ames Iron Works stationary steam engine. The engine is rated at 10 horse power. It has a absolutely amazing 2 inch gardener governor. Nothing on the engine is stuck, seized or broken. The engine looks completely original and intact and unmolested! It has a nice large pulley (I believe its 2 foot diameter). It has a tag from General Machinery in Philadelphia which is most likely the place where it was originally installed. I can hold the engine for an extended period of time. To anyone that was wondering: The photos were taken when I had the engine at a local show. That’s the reason for all of the stuff noticeable in the background.
