This is a real nice original and very unusual double-acting piston type pump for a steam engine or other piece of machinery. It is quite unusual being double-acting and was made by the Richardson Phenix company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and is in great condition considering its age! There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of except for an old weld on the actuator arm and an old braze on the pump shaft/housing as I’ve noted in the pictures. Both of these repairs appear to be well done and could be dressed down or disguised fairly easily if you so choose.. The pump works as it should and pumps nicely. It has 3/4 inch NPT threads in it and they are in great shape. It has a brass or bronze receiver for the actuating arm which has some mild wear. It stands about 9 3/4 inches tall and has about a 7 x 13 1/2 inch overall footprint so it’s a nice smaller size. These pumps are extremely difficult to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. It will likely be a long time before another one turns up and it probably won’t be this nice. I can be reached at 262 573 1931 if you’d like to talk about it. The pictures tell the story.
