This is an extremely nice original battery/coil box for a Monitor hit and miss gas engine. I believe it is correct for several if not all of the models of Monitor engines including the VJ pumping engine. It measures about 6 1/2 x 10 x 8 1/2 inches tall and is in excellent original condition and should be ready to go to work! It has the original mounting bolts and porcelain insulator as can be seen. It needs a sheet metal cover but that should be fairly easy to fabricate. It has a great original look and would compliment a nice original engine. If yours is missing like many of them are here is your chance! It would also make a great spare on the shelf. The pictures tell the story. It would surely beat making one.
