Nice working igniter for a 1 1/2HP, 3HP, 6HP John Deere E! I actually hooked a battery/coil up to this igniter and gave it a trip by hand a nice hot spark shot out of the points! Spring tension seems good. I don’t see why it shouldn’t work with little to no adjustments, however it could definitely be possible that the springs may need adjusting depending on whether you plan to run your engine with a magneto or a battery and coil.
