This is an older restoration Root and Vandervoort Triump Line hit and miss gas engine. It is fresh from an old collection where it was tucked away for many years. It sits on a homemade wheelbarrow cart with John Deere wheels. It has a very unusual ignition setup on it with an upside down Wizard magneto with a brass base on it. The engine seems to be in great shape. Everything seems to be nice and tight and there are no cracks, breaks, or repairs anywhere that I can see or know of. It has excellent compression and seemingly very little wear anywhere on it. It has an incorrect fuel mixer on it but this worked just fine for a previous owner. I’m pretty sure that reproduction mixers are available from a gent in Northern Wisconsin. It has a homemade muffler on it that works good. Although I haven’t tried to run it, a previous owner ran it several years ago and it ran great. This would be a nice, fairly scarce engine to add to your early hit and miss gas engine display or John Deere machinery collection. The pictures tell the story. You’ll like it! I can deliver this for free to LeSeuer, MN, Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, engine shows or swap meets later this year.
