This is a VERY hard to find early cast iron Madison Kipp single feed lubricator used on early steam engines and other pieces of machinery. It is in great condition for its age with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know of. It has some wear and old oil and dirt on it. Everything turns as it should and it seems to pump as it should. It has the original cover with the patent dates on it. It is missing one of the ratchet fingers but the other one is there for a pattern to reproduce. The insides look to be in great shape but could use some cleaning. It mounts with one hole on the L-casting on the bottom. It measures about 4 x 6 1/4 x 11 1/4 inches tall overall. It has the original lever and priming crank on it as can be seen. These early cast iron Madison Kipp lubricators are extremely difficult to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one for an authentic restoration don’t miss your chance on this one. It will likely be a long time before another one turns up and it probably won’t be this nice. I can be reached at 262 573 1931 if you’d like to talk about it. The pictures tell the story.
