This is a very hard to find original steel crankguard or fender for a 6hp Fairbanks Morse Z flywheel type gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind as can be seen. It measures about 7 x 22 inches and sits in the back lip of the crankcase and mounts with one hole to the tab on the back of the hopper. Please measure your engine to be sure it works for your application. It has some very minor separation on the left end of the mounting lip as I’ve shown but this will not hinder its performance at all. These original crankguards are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets and they’re so often missing so if you need one here’s your chance! The pictures tell the story. Governor Bracket Cam Gear for. 3HP – 6HP Fairbanks Morse Z. Throttle Governed Gas Engine. Bracket and gear are in good condition and ready to use. For use on a 3-6 HP Fairbanks Morse “Z” throttle governed engine. Pot Metal Bracket painted black. Takes AB33 or AB34 magneto and mounts 2 3/16 center to center. Mag clamp mounting is 3 7/8 center to center – mag clamp is not included. 4 7/16 center to center 2 bolt engine mounting. Cast iron gear has 70 teeth and 7 1/8 diameter. No breaks, cracks or welds that I can see. I apologize for any inconvenience. Please feel free to call me with questions. This is an extremely hard to find original ignitor for a Fairbanks Morse T hit and miss gas engine. It may also be for a Fairbanks Morse H but please be sure to do your homework or consult your parts book to be sure. It is in great condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know of. It has a cast iron body and mounts with two 7/16 inch holes 2 7/8 inches apart on center. This ignitor should fit all sizes of the vertical T engines but again, please measure your engine or consult your parts book to be be sure. Everything moves and functions as it should. There is very little noticeable wear on the movable shaft and trip finger. It has very good points on it and also has the original brass ground screw and thumb screw. It should be ready to be used on an engine or put on the shelf for a spare! These original early Fairbanks ignitors are extremely tough to find so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. It will likely be a long time before another one turns up!
