THIS IS A VERY LARGE GLASS OILER LUBRICATOR. IT IS 1 GALLON OR MORE. IT HAS 3 FEEDS WITH GLASS SIGHTS. THE BOTTOM & TOP ARE MADE OF STEEL. THE FLIP UP LID IS MADE OF BRASS & HAS MANZEL BROS. THE GLASS CYLINDER MEASURES 9 INCHES TALL BY 6 3/8 WIDE. THE GASKETS WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED AS THEY ARE BRITTLE & BROKE. THE GLASS CYLINDER WEIGHTS 3 POUNDS IT’S SELF. This is a very hard to find original Sumter AG rotary low tension magneto for a hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. This is the largest of the Sumter line at the time and is a model AG. It stands about 8 1/2 inches tall! These were used on larger engines like Fairbanks N, Foos, Otto, John Lauson, International Harvester Famous, and other high quality engines. It is in excellent original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of except for a hairline crack in the porcelain which won’t affect anything. It turns nicely with unbelievable magnetic pull and puts out a hot, blue spark. It mounts on a 2 x 3 inch rectangular bolt pattern and the threads are in excellent condition. It doesn’t appear to have been abused as you can see. It has very minor wear in the bearings. It has an original gear on it and also some green paint which leads me to believe it was originally on a large Fairbanks Morse N engine. These large Sumter magnetos are increasingly tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. It’s only the second AG magneto I’ve run across in all my travels. It will likely be a long time before another one turns up. It would also make a great spare on the shelf. This is a very hard to find original Elkhart rotary low tension magneto for a hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. This is the largest Elkhart magneto that I can remember ever seeing with 4 magnets on it. These were used on Sparta Economy, Falk, and several other engines. It is in excellent original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. It turns nicely with good magnetic pull and puts out a hot, blue spark. It mounts on a 2 x 3 1/8 inch rectangular bolt pattern and the threads seem to be in good shape. It doesn’t appear to have been abused as you can see. It has very little noticeable wear in the bearings. These Elkhart magnetos are increasingly tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. Large Vintage Antique Hit & Miss Old Gasoline/Gas Stationary Early Steam Engine Antique Oiler or Oil Lubricator. This large vintage old original “Manzel Improved” antique Oil Lubricator or Oiler was very well-made of mostly heavy nickel-plated cast iron with a glass cylinder and measures approximately 12-1/2 inches tall by 12-3/4 inches wide, while the glass cylinder is about 5 inches O. Has a adjustable ratcheting mechanism that seems to work as it should. No idea of the original Fitment but came from the estate of a hit & miss engine/Ford Model T parts collector. Very good used with some plating loss/wear/marks/etc. Glass cylinder has 2 tight cracks. Small glass cylinder looks good. Please see photos for condition details.
