Antique Hit & Miss Toolbox. International Gas Engine Co. The International Gas Engine Co. (Ingeco), of Cudahy Wis. Appeared in the gas engine community in early 1912 with a vast line of stationary engines, including push-rod style farm engines, side-shaft engines and vertical engines. The vertical and horizontal engines were available as hopper-cooled as well as tank cooled. Ingeco built a horizontal air-cooled engine as well. The diversity of fuel usage in this line of engines included gas, gasoline, oil and producer gas. The company featured horsepower ratings to fit the needs of almost anyone, including sizes from 1-1/2 to 350 horsepower. Leather strap handles on sides a bit tattered, no strap. Wood and hardware in good shape, no lock. Four pull out drawers. Last photo is an example of an “Ingeco” engine (reference only). A couple Bullock Electric Mfg. Stickers on the inside and a couple unreadable motor tags are nailed to the top (i did not attempt to clean them up). Approximately 21 inches wide X 14 inches tall X 7 inches deep. Rare Perkins Model Hit and Miss Gas Engine. Model by Debolt Machine Co. This particular model is still in the hands of the original owner. It was a replacement engine completely finished by Debolt Machine Co. It is a 1/2 scale working model engine of the original Perkins Upright Windmill engine. It runs on Coleman fuel and a 12 volt battery and low tension coil. A simple internet search will demonstrate the rarity of these particular engines by Debolt. The engine is now showing its age, with the original factory lacquer paint flaking or cracking in some places. The brass is absolutely beautiful and polished up ready for show. The engine runs as it did the day my dad picked it up from the shipper when I was 9 years old. Flywheels measure about 9 inches. Overall height with fuel tank installed is about 25 inches. I will crate the engine if necessary to ensure it is protected. I can deliver within 100 miles of Sparta, NJ. This sale is for a very hard to find brass base Sumter Jr. It comes with a 42 tooth drive gear. I know you out there will know what engines it fits. This mag, I do not believe was used much if at all. The bushings are tight with no pley, and it is complete and very hot. This is as nice original one of these you will find. It is dirty , but is in excellent original not played with condition. Teeth on gear are nice as well. Shows almost no signs of use. If you are looking for one of these. A very hard to find two cylinder KW antique prairie tractor magneto. Magneto is in great condition and has spark and looks like it has been rebuilt but I have not had it tested. I do not see any cracks breaks or welds and the impulse seems to work good. Magneto is stamped HK and serial number is 103921. Magneto is made of very heavy brass. I know these mags fit a variety of early gas tractors possibly case international Harvester hart part Avery and many more. Please see pictures for more information and condition.
