1-1/2 HP Stover Model KE Hit & Miss Engine. Good compression, hasn’t run in a number of years, but its a good runner. Something fell on the magneto years ago and broke the mag off, but I have a replacement bracket for you see pictures – you will need a magneto. Looks to be original fuel tank, which is somewhat rare on these engines. I also have a splash guard I will include with the engine, may have a starting crank handle as well. This is a brand NEW IHC INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CORPORATION tag copied from an original 1-1/2HP “M” engine. THIS IS AN ETCHED TAG AND HAS DEPTH. IT IS NOT A PRINTED TAG. I make these tags myself and take great pride and care to make sure this tag has the look and the feel of an original. Happy to say that this tag was made right here in the U. Made from 0.032 thick sheet brass. I use a process very similar to the way the original tags were made. You will be hard pressed to tell the difference in my tags and an original. This tag is ready to stamp with your engines’ specific information. Mounting holes are not drilled but they are clearly marked by the etching process. Depth of etch for this particular tag = 0.005. (Typically original tags were etched to 0.004″ – 0.005″). This tag will fit engines with mounting holes center to center distance = 3.125. (Please measure your engines’ mounting hole spacing to ensure that this tag will fit your engine). Item in the pictures is what you will receive. Your tag should arrive to your door in 3 or 4 days. This engine is as pictured, and video was taken a few days before listing the ad. N item that does not function as intended and is not fully operational. This includes items that are defective in ways that render them difficult to use, items that require service or repair , or items missing essential components. See the sellers listing for full details. This engine may require some servicing or repair (fuel system cleaning/repair, carb repair, greasing, gaskets, things of this nature) before fully using it. This is why I list in this condition. Good running engine, has a hot, original magneto. Engine starts with the flick of the flywheels These engines are known to be stubborn starting, not this one. Engine has Good compression, and spins very smoothly – the flywheels will bounce back and forth after it stops from the compression. Original IHC Magneto in very nice condition – Hot. Original Factory Pulley with v-belt pulley. Fuel tank holds gas and seems to be working fine. I sprayed it down with WD-40 to clean off dust, cobwebs and to be able to look them over. It won’t be all wet & shiny when it arrives. I Think the check valve in the fuel chamber may need to be cleaned, the throttle was surging once in a while, either that or a leak in the fuel line or somewhere – MAY NEED FUEL LINE / CARBURETOR REPAIR. It has been sitting in the kitchen since it was rebuilt. The grandchildren liked to fiddle with it, and “drive” the fly wheel when they were very young. I would like it to be loved in a new home. The serial number is 344625, built in 1937. Local pick-up is preferred. IT WILL TAKE ME A FEW EXTRA DAYS TO BUILD CRATE ON PALLET AND GET IT TO FASTENAL.
