1 1/2 – 12 HP. Associated / United Chore Boy. Fits Associated / United 1 1/2 – 12 HP. 2 center to center bolt pattern. Needs a new spring. I apologize for any inconvenience. Here is a nice looking brass body Associated 4 bolt low tension magneto. It produces a very nice hot spark. The is extremely minimal or almost no wear that can be felt Please take a look at the pictures and decide if you need it. For questions 419 789 1159. SPECIAL NOTE: This is a low tension magneto, it is meant to work with an igniter and will not produce at spark that will jump an air gap. It will not work with a spark plug. The spark it produces can be observed by rubbing a wire from the terminal against the case of the mag while turning the shaft. It does have to be timed to the engine. Appears to have a new lead out 5/8 shaft for gear mounting. 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ mounting pattern. The mounting holes have perfect threads. Very minimal to no wear. I think this mag is ready to start and run your engine. I think I list items very accurately but my opinion on condition may differ from yours. In my opinion this is a great magneto. If you have any questions about how to use it on your engine please ask. Don’t be a clown and tear it all apart and then try to return it when you can’t get it to work. Here is a nice original head for an Associated Chore Boy or United equivalent engine. Please check the measurements to make sure it is what you need. The valve heads and seats look great. The valves also feel good in their guides. Very hard part to find. Its for a 3hp to 3-1/2hp size engine. CHW (I think, its hard to read). The mounting hole pattern is 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ measured from closest hole to next closest hole on center. The carb mounts with 2 holes about 2-3/4 apart on center. About 7-1/2 in overall diameter. The raised area in the center is a little under 4-1/2 in diameter. Has been repaired but looks good, see pics. Most items will go out faster though. I have many good parts and pieces I will be listing in the next few months. I try to do a very good job of listing everything I sell in a very accurate manner to explain all the good and bad points with the pictures and in the description. So if someone doesn’t pay I will ban them from my listings and also tell all my friends who also sell engine parts on here who to watch out for. If you haven’t caught on this is supposed to be mildly funny but yet serious at the same time. If you decide you don’t want it or find another one cheaper you I won’t take it back. This is a 1/3 scale model of an Associated Hired Man hit and miss engine with high quality machining. The castings were made by Paul Breisch. It runs on propane with a miniature on-demand regulator. The oilier needs an adapter. See the video of it running in the link below. Its running fast but could be slowed down. The first three video shots were of it hooked up to an external traditional buzz coil ignition and 6V battery. The last shot was it running on a troublesome electronic buzz coil hidden in the base. The hits are so weak that it never gets up to speed to start to miss. A solution is to upgrade it to a hall sensor based ignition system, or run it on a buzz coil. It has a timing lever that can be adjusted while the engine is running. Included is the model, a clutch/pulley setup, the propane fuel hookup system, and a digital copy of the Breisch blue prints for this model. Here is an original fuel tank that I think is correct for a 6hp or 8hp Associated engine. It is in pretty good shape but it does have a small hole in the bottom that will need repaired. It seem very solid. The cap doesn’t seem to be original, it fits but not perfect. The white spots on the top appear to be paint, they should come off easy with a little stripper. Electric Wheel Co Hercules Economy Associated Gas Engine Hit Miss Hand Trucks. This set was used by several company’s. The set has 3″ channel iron rails that are 54″ long and are set at 11 1/2 wide to the outside. The front wheels are 14 dia. Rear wheels are 19 1/2 dia. With a 2 1/2 face. They have 30 wide axles. The set has been widened out from the original width. It has the original plates but they are welded on instead of bolted. Welds can be ground out and put it back to original width. The front bolster has an extra flat plate welded to the top to make it wider. There is an extra plate welded to the bottom bolt hole on the bolster also. No other cracks welds or repairs. Has the original handle. Large heavy items can be picked up here in North East Kansas. Here is a real nice original 4-bolt large magneto for an Associated or United hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is in excellent used condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It mounts on a 2 3/4 inch square holt pattern and the mounting threads are in great shape. The leadout seems to be in great shape. There is almost no noticeable wear in the bearings and the armature turns as it should with great magnetic pull. This magneto puts out a nice hot spark and is ready to run an engine. It currently has a 25-tooth gear on it for the Chore Boy and Hired Man engine but this could be changed with the gear of your choice. If you need a magneto for your engine or to replace your broken or repaired one here is a great opportunity. These nice original magnetos don’t come up very often so don’t miss it. I have not ran this engine but I see no reason why it would not run as good as it looks, just put propane and a battery on it.
