This is a very hard to find original Remy Dual Ignition battery/magneto coil switch for an early car, truck, tractor, or other engine. It is fresh from an old service garage estate where it lived in retirement for decades. The switch lever moves as it should as does the knob and key. The barrel is clearly marked for Battery, Magneto, and Off on the face. All in all it retains a lot of original patina and would look great on an original survivor vehicle. Take a look at the pictures and see what you think. These original coil switches are getting harder to find with each passing year so if you need one here’s a pretty nice one. Well greased and cared for. Plastic cap for the inlet pipe included. The water spigot has a good feel to the washer when tightening but I have not examined it or run water through it. This is a VERY hard to find original Bosch DU4 Dual 4-cylinder base mount magneto. It has a brass base and turns over nicely. I checked it and did get spark out of it. The Dual magnetos were for applications where the engine started on battery and then switched over to magneto ignition to preserve batteries. It has two sets of points for this reason. This magneto is in pretty good shape but it isn’t perfect as can be seen. It needs a spark tube and should probably be gone through and cleaned at the very least. The threaded end of the armature is broken off as can be seen but this should be and easy repair and might hold a nut the way it is. The magneto is clockwise rotation. It mounts on a 2 inch square bolt pattern and the mounting threads are in great shape. These original brass based DUAL magnetos are almost impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one for an authentic restoration here’s a pretty good one that could be really nice with a little attention. This 22HP Stover has always been an easy starter (see video) and is a big hit at shows. It comes with a large wood display sign (se second form last picture). Once in 14 revolutions when cold and once in 25 revolutions when warmed up. It usually gets to 115 degrees at the end of the day (block filled with antifreeze). Also included is a custom Sunbrella cover (see last picture). Registered trailer with tags & title. We are located in Lompoc, CA 93436.
