This is a very hard to find original brass Kingston carburetor for an early Case Model L or other farm tractor. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know of. It has very little wear on the throttle shaft and on the choke shaft. It has some minor deterioration on the choke plate that shouldn’t affect its performance. Everything moves as it should and with minimal to no effort and the addition of a bowl drain valve this carburetor should be ready to be used on an engine or put in your inventory as a spare. It mounts with two holes 2 15/16 inches apart on center. The hole in the mounting flange is 1 13/16″ in diameter and the intake hole is about 2″ in diameter and the holes on that flanger are 4 inches apart on center. These original Kingston carburetors are quite tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets! If you’ve been looking for one to complete a restoration or to replace your broken or repaired one here’s your chance. The pictures tell the story. You’ll like it. Here is a nice original Maytag 72 Twin Cylinder. This one likes to start with one plug wire removed and grounded. Then after it’s running on one cylinder, reattach the other wire. This is fairly common on these twins. It also slings some gas out around the starter while running, this too is pretty common. It has the Eisemann magneto. Mounted to a custom wood skid. These Maytags can be a bit temperamental at times, but once you get it set right for starting, it will sit and run nicely. This one does seem to run slower than the other twins I’ve owned. I’m guessing the previous owner set it to run this way and it can probably be adjusted if you wish. I have decided to leave this engine in it’s “work clothes”, as far as refinishing. You can choose wether you’d like to restore it further or run it as it is. Looks like it has some original decals. I own several of these Maytags in my collection, and they are a great hobby. This would look great at an engine show, or just have it to teach the grandkids about history! Thanks for looking and feel free to ask any questions! Vintage Maytag Engine Model 72 Motor 19 37 Twin Hit Miss Runs Great! Here is a nice original Maytag 72 Twin Cylinder. I believe this one was made in 1937.
