This is a very hard to find original sales catalog from International Harvester for their early gas tractors. It measures about 8 x 10 inches with 32 pages. It is in good condition for it’s age with some minor wear and very minor soiling. It has nice, embossed covers and overall it is nice and HEAVILY illustrated. It covers their type A, B, and C tractors in 12, 15, and 20 horsepower. In my opinion it is one of the nicest early tractor catalogs that IHC offered and is in great shape considering it’s around a century old! A few of the pages have loosened from the staples but they are all there and in good shape. There is also a small piece of the back cover missing near the fold. This catalog would be a fine addition to your early industrial library and would look especially nice displayed with your IHC tractor or machinery at the shows. These original catalogs don’t turn up very often as so many of them lost their battle with the wood stove back in the day so don’t miss your chance on this one. The pictures tell the story. This engine is an early 1 Hp Famous on its original skid. It turns over and has good compression. I have the original fuel tank needs a fitting sweated back in. This engine has the brass connecting rod. The igniter has been gone through works good. Engine needs a little tinkering to be ready for the shows this summer. Does not run in its current condition but it should run with a little work. Located in central ny. Coming to the Portland show this month so I can deliver it there for free. This is a very hard to find original sales catalog from International Harvester for their IHC Famous Gasoline Engines. It measures about 7 5/8 x 9 5/8 inches with 52 pages. It is in good condition for it’s age with some minor soiling, wear, and some rodent chewing to the top outside corner of the last half of the pages but this doesn’t affect any of the contents. It has nice, embossed covers and overall it is nice and HEAVILY illustrated. It covers their stationary, portable, mounting and spraying engines including the Tom Thumb and vertical air cooled engines. It also shows their early tractor in it along with their 20 hp kerosene engine. It shows all of the construction features and options along with the different setups like pump jacks, clutch pulleys, and attachments. In my opinion it is one of the nicest catalogs that IHC offered and is in great shape considering it’s around a century old! This catalog would be a fine addition to your early industrial library and would look especially nice displayed with your IHC engine or machinery at the shows. Here a collection of tools that I got with a 12hp IHC Famous years ago. Regardless it is a neat old display that looks great with an engine. Check out the pictures and decide if you need it. Here’s what it is, 10 pieces. 1 Wrist pin socket wrench marked IHC and GA245. 5 Open end wrenches marked IHC and G3173, G3166, G3172, G3171, G3170. A chisel marked IHC. An adjustable wrench marked IHC. The display is about 19-1/4″ x 17-1/2″. Everything seems to be in great shape. Most items will go out faster though. I have many good parts and pieces I will be listing in the next few months. I try to do a very good job of listing everything I sell in a very accurate manner to explain all the good and bad points with the pictures and in the description. So if someone doesn’t pay I will ban them from my listings and also tell all my friends who also sell engine parts on here who to watch out for. If you haven’t caught on this is supposed to be mildly funny but yet serious at the same time. If you decide you don’t want it or find another one cheaper you I won’t take it back. Only issue with the cart is the front steering end, between the rails somebody welded in some steel, where originally it’s supposed to be a block of wood. It would be very easy to grind those welds off and put wood back in there like it’s supposed to be. Probably less than 10 of weld bead would have to be ground off, not a big job at all. All four wheels are in excellent shape, all hubs are there and in good shape. There are no issues with the wheels, hubs, axles, steering etc… It has a really nice, heavy duty hardwood tongue that comes with it, ready to hook on the back of your tractor and go. Very little wear in the wheel bearings. Within an afternoon of minor tinkering, this cart could easily be put back to 100% correct, and ready for your engine. I believe this cart is correct for both an 8hp and also 10hp Famous, or Titan engine. Channel iron length I believe is the only difference. I can deliver this cart to Portland, IN swap meet (May) or show (August), as well as Baraboo, WI swap meet in May, or Coolspring, PA show in June. You can also pick this cart up here, we are 100 miles north of Detroit, and 35 miles east of Saginaw. If you will be picking it up, I can store it here for up to 6 months, no charge. Feel free to ask questions. 38″ rear wheels 30″ front wheels 20″ width of the rails, outside to outside 92″ rail length 55 across the rear wheels, outside to outside. Bracket part number is 303J1. This bracket is in perfect shape, and ready to use. Very nice original patina, no pitting, and no cracks, breaks, or welds. I believe this is correct for a 6hp only, but you IHC experts can be the judge of that. 2 on centers for the mounting holes. Movable electrode has almost no wear, and the points look like new. 4hp IHC Famous hit & miss engine. Ive had this engine runner but it has almost no compression. The bore is pitted and is a good candidate for a bore and sleeve. It is missing the tag, fuel pump, muffler and elbow, gas tank, crankguard. The igniter side flywheel has about an 1/8′ runout. The head is a throttle governed head and is repaired. Here is a super tough to find piece. This is a Webster Magneto and igniter setup for an International Famous or Titan gas engine. The center to center hole measurement is 1 15/16 inches. I believe this fits the 8 & 10 HP engines. I have an 8 & 10 HP and the measurements and setup look identical to these models. I’m not sure about the 12 HP, but if you’re looking for one you will probably recognize it. The bracket and magneto are all complete except it’s missing one spring on the mag. It also needs a new name band for the top of the magneto. Both of these pieces are available. Other than this I don’t see anything broken or damaged. The mag is stuck and will no doubt need some work. It may need new points/shafts are they are pitted. But overall it seems to be a good solid outfit and if you need one – here it is! These are very hard to find mags and this would make a nice piece to complete your engine. A very nice butter churn gear with like new gear and pulley all rebuilt. Cast iron bracket has lots of original red paint and is in good condition with no cracks breaks or welds. This is a rather hard to find original Webster JY magneto. These were used on many different hit and miss and throttle governed gas engines back in the day most notably International Harvester Famous and Titan engines. It is in good used condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know of. The diecast body has some deterioration in a few spots as can be seen but this is strictly cosmetic. It has heavy wear in the bearings and teh end plates need to be bushed before using it. This can easily be done in your home shop. The trip finger has very little noticeable wear as can be seen. The magneto mounts on a 2 7/16 x 2 13/16 inch bolt pattern and all of the threads, although not perfect, are in very usable condition and hold nicely. It has the original name band on it. It needs a leadout cover and roller springs which are available from several of the hobby suppliers rather inexpensively. I’ve checked this magneto and it puts out a hot fat, blue spark that will surely run your engine if it is setup properly after you bush the armature bearings. It would even make a great spare on the shelf! These big Websters don’t come along that often so don’t miss it. The pictures tell the story. You won’t be disappointed in any way.
