I think this fits 2 -2 1/2 hp engines. Mounting holes are 7 1/4 on centers. Was cleaned and painted. Has minor imperfections on bottom that are not seen when on engine. Hard to find tin fender. Most of my item are old and I will try to do my best to give an accurate description.

This is a real nice reproduction cast iron crankguard or fender for a 2 1/2hp Simplicity hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind as it is a brand new reproduction casting. It will need the three mounting holes drilled to fit your engine. It mounts on a shelf that is 7 1/8 inches wide overall and the guard is about 14 7/8 inches long overall. Please measure your engine to be sure it works for your application. These cast iron crankguards are rather tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets and they’re so often missing so if you need one here’s your chance! The pictures tell the story. This is a pretty nice original crank guard or splash shield for an old Fairbanks Morse gas engine. I believe it is for the 1 1/2hp Z and also the Dishpan Z engines. It is in excellent original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It mounts with two ears about 7 1/2 inches apart on center but this is a bit arbitrary as the ears can move in or out to accommodate the engine’s bolt pattern. It has some mild pitting which won’t affect anything. These original crankguards are rather tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets and many of them are missing. If you’ve been looking for one to complete a restoration here’s your chance. This one is ready to be put to work on an engine or put into your inventory for a spare. The pictures tell the story. It is about 6 1/8 inches wide and about 17 inches long. It is part number A-60 and mounts with one hole in the back of the crankcase of the engine.
