This is a pretty decent little 1hp International Harvester Famous hit and miss gas engine. It is in original condition fresh off of the farm. It turns over as it should but some of the small parts are stuck. I’m sure with a little patience and elbow grease they’d free right up. It has some original paint and lettering on it yet and sits on the original board. It is quite greasy so I’m sure there’s more paint to be found! It has an old repair on the head which could be dressed down and made presentable. The exhaust threads and back end of the push rod need attention as I’ve pointed out. It has the original mixer and gas tank on it. It is the earlier version with the bronze connecting rod. It also has the hard to find cream separator bracket on it. The gear and pulley are gone but are available rather inexpensively. There are a few sharper teeth on the cam gear which is quite common on these little IHC’s but it should be alright the way it is for quite some time. This little engine should be a pretty straightforward project and would be a fine addition to your early hit and miss engine collection or IHC display. The pictures tell the story. You’ll like it.
