ALAMO ROCK ISLAND EMPIRE 303K18 Webster Magneto Ignitor Hit Miss Engine Motor

This is an extremely hard to find original Webster magneto ignitor bracket for a Alamo, Rock Island, Empire, Cockshutt, Moline, or other Alamo-built hit and miss gas engine. It should fit the 2 1/2 through 12hp engines but please measure your engine to be sure it will work for you. It is bracket number 303K18 and seems to be in good shape with and old solid repair as can be seen. It will need to be rebuilt or at least reassembled before it can be used. It seems to be very solid and should be a pretty straightforward project. It mounts with two holes 2 3/4 inches apart on center and the magneto mounts on a 2 x 2 inch hole pattern. The movable electrode moves nicely with very little wear and the pics show the condition of the points (one will need to be renewed). The advance/retard lever and roller move just as they should with only slight wear on the roller. After the addition of a few minor parts and some attention this should be a good, usable ignitor. If you need an Alamo/Rock Island ignitor bracket for any reason here is a pretty decent one. The pictures tell the story. It would also make a great spare on the shelf.

Here is a Webster K magneto. This mag has the desirable all brass body. It makes an excellent spark. The bearings have only a minimal amount of wear Please take a look at the pictures and decide if you need it. For questions 419 789 1159. The mounting pattern is about 2″ x 2″, all studs tight in their holes. Strong magnetic pull can be felt when turning the armature. The armature will spin freely with the springs off, no armature drag. This is a low tension magneto meant to work with an igniter. It will not produce a spark that will jump an air gap no matter who tells you it will or how close you hold the wire to ground.. It makes a spark that can be seen when the igniter points open. Most items will go out faster though. I have many good parts and pieces I will be listing in the next few months. I try to do a very good job of listing everything I sell in a very accurate manner to explain all the good and bad points with the pictures and in the description. So if someone doesn’t pay I will ban them from my listings and also tell all my friends who also sell engine parts on here who to watch out for. Please be sure to review the photos and see the measurements in the description to be sure this mag is right for your engine. Bench tested – HOT with test light and I recharged the magnets. Brass cover plates and replacement base plate. Band is good and is stamped Sumter Electrical Chicago, IL 3-M No. As the base has been replaced – base measures. 2 3/4″ X 2 9/16″. 2 mounting holes that are 2 apart on center – threads appear to be in great shape. Here is a hot Wico PR magneto that will fit many different old engines. Its pretty much interchangeable with a Wico EK just a little larger. It has only a very minimal amount of wear. There is a hairline crack in the leadout tower which will not hurt a thing but I wanted to point it out. New leadout assemblies are available but there would be no point to change it. This magneto should be ready to start and run your engine. Please take a look at the pictures and decide if you need it. If you want to talk about it 419 789 1159. Makes an excellent hot spark. Only a very minimal amount of wear. Excellent mounting threads, the mounting holes are 1-1/8 apart on center. For Questions 419 789 1159. Here is a hot Wico EK magneto that will fit many different old engines. This mag is in great shape and is tighter than most. It should be ready to start and run your engine.
