Here is a Webster Podlasak Magneto as used on many early hit and miss engines. These were esp popular on the IHC Famous/Titan line, but were also used on other early engines. These mags are much rarer than the later Websters and really dress up an early engine! This one has been on the shelf in my collection for many years & I’m thinning out a few mags this winter. These don’t come up often so don’t miss it if you need one. The mag is complete and I don’t see any damage of any type on it. It does not turn, but hopefully that just means it’s not worn out. This is a rather hard to find original Webster magneto for an ignitor fired hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is as close to New Old Stock as you could hope to find and if it was used it wasn’t used very much at all! It is in excellent original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It is a model L with 3 magnets. The magneto mounts on a 2 inch square pattern and was used on many gas engines of the day. There is almost no noticeable wear in the bearings. I checked it just before I took the pictures and it puts out a nice, hot, blue spark that will surely run your engine if it is set up properly. There is very little wear on the trip finger. The threads in the mounting holes are in great shape and have the original studs in them yet. It has the original name band on it yet. If you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. It is probably the cleanest and sharpest original Webster I’ve ever owned or offered. It will likely be a long time before another one turns up! It would also make a great spare on the shelf. Let the pictures be your guide. You won’t be disappointed in any way. 1 1/2hp John Deere Hit Miss Gas Engines. Very Nice Original & Parts Engine NO RESERVE!!!! Here is a pair of 1 1/2 horse power John Deere Hit Miss Gas Engines. With an extra head assembly, plus flywheels with crank and gear. I have included many photos to show their condition. As can be seen they are both barn fresh. One has the nicest original logo that I have ever seen. I think the new owner will find loads of original paint under all of that. This engine has good compression for being old dry and untouched for many years. The mag shaft turns freely when the flywheels are turned. It has a very old repair on the ignitor. I do not see any other cracks or repairs. As can be seen the trip lever spring is missing and one of the. Flywheels has about a 1/16 of an inch runout. I don’t think it will take much to get this engine going. The rougher engine has a bit of compression for being dry and untouched. As can be seen it is missing a few parts. The ignitor is cracked. This is the only crack that I can find on the engine. The extra head has a broken and twisted ignitor. I have to many smaller engines, that I have been tripping over. Cluttering the barn that need to go. Keep checking my other auctions for no reserve barn fresh engines. Please call if you need additional information. As you can see the engine is complete. In the last picture the engine is running I’ve ran two full tanks of gas in this engine. NEW condenser and spark plug and plug wire with new ends. Gaskets, decals and wood skids. Honed out the Cylinder jug carburetor was completely taken apart and rebuilt. Decals are correct and placed in correct places on the Motor. I paint maytag on the side. Here is a very nice K8 igniter bracket and Webster magneto for 2-10 HP Waterloo and other Waterloo contract engines. Everything on it is complete and seems to be in good shape. Mag & igniter both move freely and I don’t see anything broken or repaired on either. The points look good and it even has the original terminal clip on the igniter and the original name band on the mag. This is a VERY hard to find original John Deere 200 full line General Catalog. It is fresh from the estate of an old John Deere dealer and measures about 9 x 11 inches with hundreds of pages. It shows the full line of tractors and farm equipment including the Type E engine and W power units. It is in good used condition with some wear and soiling. It was damp at some point but the pages are all free with no noticeable damage and all of the information is in good, usable condition. It has the authentic old smell to it and is ready to be added to your John Deere library or display. It is a wealth of information for the John Deere collector! These original full line catalogs don’t turn up very often as so many of them lost their battle with the wood stove back in the day so don’t miss your chance on this one. The pictures tell the story. Looking to place these items in new homes – described with what I and the owner know about them. This is a unique one! This is an original John Deere Stationary Engine, number 270-333 as marked on the plate, and it has been in storage for a good number of years in his shop. Piece dates to 1927 and many folks locally think it probably ran a water well or some other such application back in the day. The unique part of this piece is you can still see the original lettering graphics for John Deere on each side of the cooling tank. My guess is that it would probably clean up pretty nice with some work and some elbow grease. I did turn the crank on it a number of times and you do get some compression resistance at regular intervals, but that is all that is known – no idea how that compression is or if it needs parts or work. Neat item that you don’t often see in this condition for sale – keep as it is and get it running or fully restore and show it.
