This is a very nice and very hard to find original Elkhart 4-bar magneto for a hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It should fit several engines but please measure your engine to be sure it will work for you. It is in great shape with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. It has the original leadout tower and leadoutcover including the lever nut as can be seen. It mounts on a 2 inch square hole pattern and the threads in all of the holes are in great shape. It turns over very nicely with very little noticeable wear in the bearings. This magneto has had the magnets recharged. It has a nice hot spark that is sure to run your engine if it is set up properly. The pictures tell the story. It would also make a great spare on the shelf. It will likely be quite a while until another Elkhart magneto come along for sale and it probably won’t be this nice! Here is a nice brass body Webster K magneto. It is very hot and in great shape. The bearings are very tight, with no amount of wear. I strongly assume it has been rebuilt. I believe the frame and bearing plates are probably new. Please take a look at the pictures and decide if you need it. If you have any questions 419 789 1159. SPECIAL NOTE: This is a low tension magneto, it is meant to work with an igniter and will not produce at spark that will jump an air gap. It will not work with a spark plug. The spark it produces can be observed by rubbing a wire from the terminal against the case of the mag while turning the shaft. It does have to be timed to the engine. 2″ x 2″ mounting pattern. All the studs are in great shape and are tight in their holes. I think I list items very accurately but my opinion on condition may differ from yours. In my opinion this is a great magneto. This is a very nice original International Harvester Type L magneto as used on several models of gas engines built by IHC including the Type M, 1hp Famous/Titan, and some others. It is in very nice original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. I checked it and it has a nice, hot spark so it should be ready to run an engine if it is set up properly. It has the original name band on it. The threads in both mounting holes are in great shape. Those holes are 2 inches apart on center. If you need an IHC Type L magneto for any reason this is a very nice one! It would also make a great spare on your shelf. Here is an original body Webster K or L magneto. If you have a bad body mag just switch some parts over to this one. All the holes appear to have great threads except one of the main mounting holes. Here is a nice original Knoblock-Heideman tension coil. I have never seen another exactly like it. This is to be used with an old gas engine that has an igniter, it will not work with a spark plug.
