This is an extremely hard to find Sumter Model B rotary magneto for an old hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. These were commonly used on John Lauson engines from the factory as well as options on IHC Famous and Titans and some of the earlier Fairbanks Morse and Foos engines. It is fresh from an old collectors estate and is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind except for slight chip/crack in the porcelain leadout and two cracked magnets which have little or no affect on its performance. It mounts on a 2 inch square hole pattern and the mounting threads in the brass base are in excellent shape. It has almost no noticeable wear on the armature bearings. I charged the magnets and it has excellent magnetic pull and great snapping spark! I believe this magneto is ready to go to work on an engine! Here’s a real nice old 6-volt bench-type magnet charger. It seems to be in great shape as can be seen. I used it just before I took the pictures and it works great! It was factory built although I don’t know who the maker is. This is exactly the same as the magnet charger that was used at most of the International Harvester dealers in the 1930′s/1940′s. It is well built and measures about 5 1/2 x 8 3/4 x 6 1/2 inches tall. The fields are very adjustable with slots to accommodate most any size or width magnet. These chargers are indispensable tools if you work on old engines or tractors as most magnetos could use a good zap to reenergize! These original magnet chargers are almost impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one to add to your shop here’s a really nice one. This is a VERY hard to find Madison Kipp 2-feed mechanical oiler that was used on several early steam engines, hit and miss gas engines, and other pieces of machinery. It is in excellent condition with very little wear. Everything turns as it should and it pumps great from both pumps. It is missing the glass sight cover but these are available as reproductions. The mounting holes are about 8 inches apart on center and the overall box size is about 5 x 7 x 7 inches tall. The hand priming crank is in good shape and I believe this oiler is ready to go to work on an engine. These 2-feed Madison Kipp lubricators are extremely difficult to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. This is a VERY nice old Pickering 2 1/2 inch governor for a steam traction or stationary engine. This size governor was generally for 20-30hp engines. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. Everything moves as it should and the gears look to be in great shape. The pulley shaft has very slight wear. The pulley shaft is about 21 inches long (overall width) and overall the governor stands about 30 inches tall. This governor mounts with a 4-hole flange but also has internal threads in that flange so it is dual-application. All of the guts are in the steam chest and I don’t think this governor would take much extra work if any to be put in to service. Are extremely difficult to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. This is an outstanding original example or a two-cylinder Locomobile steam engine for an early horseless carriage. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks or repairs that I can see or know of. It appears to have been mechanically restored by a previous owner who was an industrial engineer and very talented machinist. Everything on it is nice and tight as it should. It turns over smoothly and everything interacts just as it should. It runs very nicely on compressed air as I’ve run it personally. It has the serial number 3893 stamped on it near the crankshaft. It also has “Creetors” stamped in a few places but this is incorrect as it is a Locomobile. As it’s original application is a horizontal engine it measures about 12 1/2 x 26 x 10 inches tall. The previous owner was obsessed with Cretors engines enough that he stamped this engine to be one, too, but didn’t even spell it correctly. This could be removed is you so choose. This engine has the original water pump on it as can be seen. It has a brass/bronze frame and displays very nicely! This is by far the nicest original Locomobile that I have seen come to market in many years and would be a fine addition to your early steam engine display or collection or an even better addition to your Locomobile car to complete a restoration! . All of the rebuild work seems to have been done! The stand that it is on does not go with the engine (not included in the sale). The pictures tell the story. You won’t be disappointed! This is a VERY hard to find original Kingston L3 brass carburetor for a Crossmotor Case farm tractor. It may also have other applications so please do your homework to be sure it fits your application. It is mostly brass and is fresh from an old collectors estate and seems to be in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know of. Everything moves as it should. Both the choke shaft and the upper shaft have very little noticeable wear. The throttle shaft has some wear and would benefit from a bushing. It mounts with two holes 2 11/16 inches apart on center. The intake hole is 1 5/8 inches in diameter and the hole where it mounts is 1 5/8 inches in diameter. It sounds to have the original cork float inside. It has the original and correct throttle body on it for a Case crossmotor tractor. These original Kingston carburetors for the crossmotors are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one for an authentic restoration here’s a really nice one.
