Here is an old and real original vertical Maytag air cooled hit and miss gas engine. It is in decent original condition with some original paint as can be seen. The flywheel and hub is in good shape and not cracked or broken like many of them. It turns over nicely and has excellent compression. There are a few chipped cooling fins, repairs on two of the main bearing ears, and a broken mounting hole but these are all common for these engines. With a little elbow grease this would make a real nice show engine. I can deliver for free (or a cold beverage) to Baraboo,, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, later this year. Very nice original 1 1/2hp Stover KE hit and miss engine. Excellent compression with valves and seats done. Hot Wico EK magneto, new gas tank, and original filler included. It has the correct muffler on it. The head was repainted at some point and needs some antiquing but luckily the rest of the engine remains untouched with lots of paint to be found under the grease! The gearing and bearings seem to be in great shape. I can deliver for free (or a cold beverage) to Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, later this year. This is a VERY hard to find original Bosch FU4BR 4-cylinder base mount magneto. It is in great shape with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. It was rebuilt a few years ago and not used since. It is clockwise rotation and the impulse works as it should. It turns over very nicely and seems to have very little wear in the bearings or the impulse. Everything seems to work as it should. It has good magnetism and puts out a nice blue spark on all four leadouts. Everything inside the points cover looks to be in great shape. It mounts on a 2 inch square bolt pattern and the mounting threads are in great shape. These magnetos were used on some of the early Hart Parr tractors as well as other applications. These original Bosch FU4BR magnetos are very tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one for an authentic restoration here’s an extremely nice one that’s ready to go! Here is a very rare opportunity! This is a new old stock 2 1/2 inch Gardner steam governor. It is in excellent unused condition. It has never been completely assembled as can be seen. It includes the drive pulley and the idler pulley. It is complete with all of the correct parts. It stands about 27 inches tall and the mounting flanges are about 7 inches in diameter. As can be seen they have never been drilled. All of the guts are in the steam chest and short of a little cleaning and assembly this governor should be ready to go to work on an engine! I highly doubt there’s many NOS governors like this to be found in the wild anymore, especially this large size! Don’t miss your chance on it. Let the pictures be your guide. This is a VERY hard to find original Schebler 1 3/8 carburetor for an old marine engine, hit and miss type engine, or other application. It is mostly brass and is fresh from an old collectors estate and seems to be in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know of. Everything moves as it should. The throttle shaft has very little noticeable wear. It mounts with two holes 2 1/16 inches apart on center. The intake hole is 1 1/4 inch in diameter and the hole where it mounts is 1 3/8 inches in diameter. It sounds like the original cork float is inside. These original Schebler carburetors are quite tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one for an authentic restoration here’s a really nice one. It has 3 steam engines mounted on a truck frame. The tall one in the middle drove a saw in the front. The name on it is J. Born & Bro Machine Works Belleville Il. With a Gardner 1 1/4 ball governor. The two smaller ones would have drove the machine forward and backward. The larger one is an Ames Iron Works No. The smaller one was made in a machine shop for this machine.
