Bolsters are cast iron of universal design, adaptable to your application. Fully machined and painted, ready for use. Axle u-bolts and mounting hardware included. Wheels are machine bored, rather than a rough cast cored hole, and then the outer rim of the wheel is machined flat and smooth as opposed to tapered rough cast. Handle mounting brackets clamp onto turning axle making handle mounting and removing easy. Instructions include with set. 8″ diameter by 2″ wide, 1-1/16″ bore for ¾” pipe axle. Steering Bolster – 5″ diameter base, 6-1/2″ wide axle mount saddle, two 7/16″ mounting bolts 3-3/4″ apart. Solid bolsters – 3″ tall, 4-1/2″ long mounting base, 1-1/2 thick. 3-1/2″ long, 2″ wide, 1″ thick, ½” x 1 post. Maximum recommended engine weight is 500 pounds. The only parts needed to complete the cart are common 3/4 pipe for the axles, engine mounting rails, front bolster mounting plate, a handle and nuts and bolts. Original Peru Plow Company large jobber engine truck as used under Waterloo and several other gas engines originally. 6 channel iron rails are 15 3/4 inches wide and 96 inches long which is easily adjusted. The wheels are 27 and 34 inches in diameter with 4 inch faces. It has a recent weld repair on the pivot plate which was very well done and difficult to see. No other cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. The axles are greased and it’s ready to set an engine on! It has a very nicely done oak tongue and has the original seat brackets inside the channels as can be seen. These larger engine trucks are tough to find and make your engine a lot easier to move! I can deliver for free (or a cold beverage) to LeSueur, MN, Baraboo, WI, or Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, next year. It can stay here as long as needed as long as it’s paid for. This is a VERY hard to find original Bosch DU4 Dual 4-cylinder base mount magneto. It has a brass base and turns over nicely. I checked it and did get spark out of it. The Dual magnetos were for applications where the engine started on battery and then switched over to magneto ignition to preserve batteries. It has two sets of points for this reason. This magneto is in pretty good shape but it isn’t perfect as can be seen. It needs a spark tube and should probably be gone through and cleaned at the very least. The threaded end of the armature is broken off as can be seen but this should be and easy repair and might hold a nut the way it is. The magneto is clockwise rotation. It mounts on a 2 inch square bolt pattern and the mounting threads are in great shape. These original brass based DUAL magnetos are almost impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one for an authentic restoration here’s a pretty good one that could be really nice with a little attention. This is a very nice original large, horse drawn engine truck made by Electric Wheel Company and several other gas engines originally including Fuller Johnson, Hercules, and many others. 6 channel iron rails are 14 1/4 inches wide and 125 inches long which is easily adjusted. The wheels are 26 and 36 inches in diameter with 5 inch faces. There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of other than a corner iron on a face plate which would be easy to repair and would be fine if it is left alone. It has some extra shelves welded onto it as someone made a wagon out of it at some point but this could easily be removed or used again to make a wagon to display several smaller engines. It rolls very nicely and would be great for any engine of the 10-15hp size. The brace irons are there (they need repair and straightening) and it needs a tongue but that’s the fun and easy part! These larger engine trucks are tough to find and make your engine a lot easier to move! This is a VERY hard to find original Bosch FU4 4-cylinder base mount magneto. It was used on some of the Hart Parr tractors and portable engines and probably had other 4-cylinder applications like Crossmotor Case tractors and some early cars and trucks. It is in great shape with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. It is clockwise rotation and the impulse works as it should. It turns over very nicely and seems to have very little wear in the bearings or the impulse. Everything seems to work as it should. It has good magnetism and puts out a nice blue spark on three of the wires but not on the fourth one. It is likely a bad wire that needs to be replaced which should be pretty straightforward. Everything inside the points cover looks to be in great shape. It mounts on a 2 inch square bolt pattern and the mounting threads are in great shape in three of the holes but kind of weak in one of the holes which could easily be repaired with a helicoil type repair. These original FU4 magnetos are almost impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one for an authentic restoration here’s a really nice one.
