Here is a very nice Webster AMM low tension magneto. This mag is the same as a model M but has a double magnet. It has an excellent spark. It is an aluminum or white metal frame mag. Please take a look at the pictures and see if you need it. SPECIAL NOTE this is a low tension mag and will not fire a spark plug! It is meant to be used with an igniter. The spark on a mag like this will not jump an air gap! I tested this mag by visually assessing the spark it produced while rubbing a bare wire against the body of the mag while turning the shaft with the springs off. Aluminum or white metal frame. 1-1/2″ x 2″ Mounting pattern, all the studs are tight in their holes. I try to list items very accurately but my opinions on condition may differ from yours. This item in a complex antique electronic mechanical unit. Please don’t act like a cave man and send me emails grunting “my friend mag guy says need rebuilt you pay he bill” or “I took apart now no fire I send back”. Most items will go out faster though. Here is a fairly scarce 6hp Worthington Kerosene engine. It is in good condition considering its age. It turns over as it should and has some compression but has been sitting for many years. I believe that it was painted with very little prep work and the paint comes off pretty easily to reveal some original paint underneath. It has a Webster magneto and ignitor on it and also has the original crankguard which is nearly always missing! Everything moves as it should and the engine seems to have only little to mild wear on it. The bottom of the head has an old repair that could be dressed down a bit. The crankcase has an old braze repair under the crankshaft and also has another crack that requires some attention. There is a rod around it for safety as can be seen. I think this would be a good candidate for a fish plate in the back and some stitching. The other side of the crankcase seems to be in good shape. The hopper has some extra holes in it that could be filled pretty easily as well. The mixer cover is not original but works. The Webster ramp has an addition to it. There are no other cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. I don’t think this engine was ever run after it was “painted”. It could be a very nice engine with just a little elbow grease and this would be a very straightforward project. I can deliver this for free to LeSueur, MN, Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, later this year. I can be reached at 262 573 1931 if you’d like to talk about it. Here is a very nice and rare Webster R2 flat bar friction magneto. It is a very nice unit with original paint. I think the was originally meant to be driven off an old gas engine and meant to be used to make power for the ignition system. An engine cannot start off a generator like this but it can take the place of batteries once the engine is running. Please take a look at the pictures and see if you need it. Made in Tiffin Ohio. Would look excellent on your engine or in you man cave! About 10″ long, 4-5/8″ wide, 6 tall. The bearings have a small amount of wear. I hooked up to a 12 volt battery and it spun right away just like it should. This is a heavy item, it weighs 14 lbs before any box and packing material. Here is a Webster igniter magneto bracket for a George B. Miller and Sons engine. I think it may also fit some Faultless and Majestic engines. It is stuck and I think it has been through a fire. With some wire brushing and some work it will be as good as new. I don’t think the fire did any permanent damage. I imagine this is a very difficult bracket to find. Take a look at the pics and decide if you need it. Mounts to the engine with 2 bolts about 2-1/2 apart on center. Takes a Webster mag with a 2″ x 2″ mounting pattern. Fits into a tapered hole, the middle part of the tapered area is about 1-5/8 in diameter. Most items will go out faster though. Here is a 303K8 Webster magneto igniter bracket that I think is for a Waterloo Boy gas engine. Please take a look at the pictures and see if you need it. HIT and MISS ENGINE. 2hp STOVER, Model KA. This engine was restored about 30 years ago and has been in storage in my shed or garage ever since. It was completely stripped and repainted the correct, Stover green, fitted with new rings and a new wrist pin. The Con Rod small end bushing and piston were bored out to match the new wrist pin. The machine work was professionally done. It has a WEBSTER, low-tension MAGNETO and IGNITER for ignition. It is not currently firing. This has always been troublesome. I recommend the magneto be “recharged” and the igniter be rebuilt. At that point, it should be a good runner. Compression is OK and should improve as the rings wear in. CONDITION : Older restoration, so paint shows normal scrapes, marks, and a little fading. It was cleaned for the photos in the ad, but could use a more-thorough cleaning. The last time I added gas to the tank (20 years ago) it had a slow leak and needs repair. It is currently not firing due to ignition issues stated above. It needs a new pushrod spring. Here is a 303K55 Webster magneto igniter bracket that is for a Associated gas engine. This is a rare igniter that doesn’t come up for sale very often. The flat piece of spring steal behind the advance retard lever is broken off and should be replaced. Please take a look at the pictures and see if you need it. Advance retard spring broken off and should be replaced. Uses a K or L magneto with the 2″ x 2″ mounting pattern. Mounts to the engine with two holes 2 apart on center. When I bought it was on an igniter that also seem to be new old stock (that igniter is not pictured or included with this sale). It is in great shape in every way. It has an excellent spark and perfect bearings. It is an aluminum frame mag but it is covered in its original gold paint. Please take a look at the pictures and see if you need it. SPECIAL NOTE this is a low tension mag and will not fire a spark plug! It is meant to be used with an igniter. The spark on a mag like this will not jump an air gap! I tested this mag by visually assessing the spark it produced while rubbing a bare wire against the body of the mag while turning the shaft with the springs off. Aluminum or white metal frame with original gold paint. The bearings seem perfectly nice and tight, no wear! 2″ x 2″ Mounting pattern, all the studs are tight in their holes.
