Here is one of the nicest magneto/igniter setups I’ve ever offered for sale! This is a K26 bracket for a Hercules built (Economy) gas engine. The magneto is a very nice three bar Webster. The whole setup is in very good condition. It needs a new wire from the mag to the igniter, but I hooked up the wire to the igniter and gave it a flip with a screwdriver – on the first try I got a spark. So with a little freshening up you should have a beautiful original mag for your engine. Here is a very rare magneto / igniter setup for a Simplicity Gas Engine. This is an early bracket with the highly sought after and rare Podlesak magneto. Or even if you just need a mag, you won’t find them much nicer in barn fresh condition than this. I’ve looked the mag & igniter over and they seem to be in nice original condition. I don’t see anything broken and there are no welds or repairs. The igniter and mag both look nice and greasy & they rotate smoothly. Neither are stuck nor are the worn out. The shafts feel nice and snug. I hooked a meter up to the mag and flipped it with a screwdriver & it moved the needle back and forth. So the coils should be good. It might need a recharge on the magnets, but I think it should work without much more than a good cleanup & lubrication. This is a really nice outfit & I would be very excited to find this if I needed it for my Simplicity engine. 2 7/8 center to center on the mounting holes. This is a rather hard to find original Webster magneto for an ignitor fired hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is in good original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind except for the roller bracket on the front of the armature. It is a model K with 2 magnets. The magneto mounts on a 2 inch square pattern and was used on many gas engines of the day. There is almost no noticeable wear in the bearings. It is the better version with the all brass body. It needs a roller bracket and springs which are available rather inexpensively from several of the hobby suppliers. I checked it just before I took the pictures and it puts out a nice, hot, blue spark that will surely run your engine if it is set up properly. There is very little wear on the trip finger. The threads in the mounting holes are in great shape and have the original studs in them yet. It needs a new name band but those are available from several of the hobby suppliers as well. If you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. It will likely be a long time before another one turns up! It would also make a great spare on the shelf. This is an extremely hard to find original Webster magneto ignitor bracket for vertical International Harvester hit and miss gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs except for the recent JB Weld type repair on the roller bracket. This is hard to notice and could easily be recasted if you so choose. It is bracket number G-6665 and has the IHC logo cast into it. I’ve had a few of these over the years and this is the first one I’ve ever seen with an IHC part number on it. It mounts with two holes 3 inches apart on center. This bracket will fit the 2 and 3hp vertical engines and possibly the 5 and 6hp vertical engines but please measure your engine to be sure it fits your application. The magneto mounts on a 2 3/16 x 2 13/16 inch pattern so it would take a Webster JZ magneto. Everything moves and functions as it should. There is very little wear on the movable shaft and very little wear on the points. I believe it’s ready to be used on an engine or put on the shelf for a spare. Here is a nice original Big Webster JY magneto for the 6hp and larger international harvester engine. This magneto is the one used on 6hp and up horizontal tank, screen, and hopper cooled engines. I recently recharged the magnets and it produces a beautiful thick blue spark. The bushings are nice and tight. The only small flaws are its missing its original band (they make new ones) it has a very small crack in the body as can be seen from the pics. Does not effect performance. And lastly it has a small piece busted off from the bottom back bolt hole. Also doesn’t not effect the performance and can’t be seen when mounted on bracket. It has been completely taken apart, bead blasted inside and out, armature shafts turned down to make them square again, bushing plates bored out, and new bushings installed to fit armature shafts. It has been painted, magnets charged, new springs, rollers, band, oil cups, and decal installed, clear coated and tested.
