This is an extremely nice original Splitdorf Model 30 low tension magneto for a hit and miss gas engine. It is basically the same as a Sumter JR magneto. It was used on Fuller Johnson, Lauson and several other gas engines. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind except for a patch under the original name band. It mounts with two holes 2 inches apart on center and the mounting threads are in great shape. Everything turns over very nicely with very minor wear in the bearings. It has excellent magnetic pull and the magnets have just been recharged. This magneto puts out a HOT, fat, blue spark that will surely run your engine if it is set up properly. It even has the original leadout on it and it is in good condition. The threads on the drive end of the armature are in great condition. It is ready to go to work on an engine or would also be a good spare on the shelf. These are quite tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets especially in ready to use condition so don’t miss it! The pictures tell the story. You won’t be disappointed in any way.
